    Aidan's actually helping you! Ubisoft has sent The Club members to take your computer, but Aidan has to knock out the power to shut down their Comms whilst he takes them out!

    Edit: Please bring out 0.8 today, I'm like a kid on Christmas Eve.

    Looking back at my screenshots, I do think I liked the 0.6 colors the best, actually.

    I hope there's a version without any lighting changes. It can be done much easier on the user's side with sweetfx if they want vs being hardwired into the patch.

    I would personally prefer a patch that had just technical improvements with vanilla game lighting, fog, etc... left the way it is.

    But using Sweetfx makes partly no sense @ all they have a good HDR layer and colorgrading system in the engine for what the useless SweetFX overhead to change the visual appearance if the Engine can do it more efficient without extra overhead ?

    People should be more careful with this decision the only usage i personally see with SweetFX is totally reduced to the sharpness layer of the output result after AA is applied but the rest i doubt it's useful @ all especially for newer Engines.

    If there is, I would prefer if more things were removed so i could get more fps like what ''Clean city mod'' did to GTA IV

    SweetFX is just image tweaks. Like a flat image in photoshop. It can't change actual lighting.

    I think when TheWorse mentions lighting, he's actually talking about the in-engine lighting. How much light there is in the daytime\nighttime. How much ambient light spreads. Etc etc. He'd have to clarify though.

    @jim2point0

    exactly it changes the light perception but it doesn't change the light @ all though you get the impression of a different shading especially with the vibrancy shader part :)

    Im also not really a fan of downsampled results they are far away from reality for most users :)

    also it makes it harder to efficiently compare output results if one guy is downsampling and the other doesn't ;)

    I thought he was talking about changing saturation levels etc... like he had done in 0.6. That sort of thing is better left to users I think (e.g. I prefer even more saturation than vanilla). Or at least give an optional clean patch.

    People missunderstand what colorgrading and lighting changes mean. Not everyone has access to sweetfx and sweetfx are postprocessing effects added to a final image. Colorgrading and lighting changes from inside the game apply to every frame and those changes work differently than sweetfx.

    About 1.0 version there is no release date for that so far. Just wait 0.8 version then we talk.

    That's something got to do with the in-game lighting.

    Not only every Frame every Pixel and that in temporal space that is creating the overall shading result and the final perception :)

    And it's absolute hard to present those results in a Single Screenshot @ all it's only a spacial result of the moment :)
