The one in the spoilers is this before or after you manually edited the spaces?

It's edited one with your tool, as you can see there is no "spaces" like in default one.

Those spaces actually don't matter if you're talking about between lines, but I did find an issue that would cause the game to not load the XML

    Try this version please:

It also has a browse... button for the mod, but the mod is disabled currently intentionally for now

Bilago: As many have stated, it's possible to add several (if not all) options that can be seen in the XML parts of the global configuration (as seen in patch.dat) to the gamerprofile.xml and that these will then override the global settings. I haven't tried that yet, though.

That would open a whole world of additional options for your tool. Ever thought of adding some of them, like the options to hide the various HUD elements or other GFX options?

I already have quite a few Hud element toggles, but I will add more.

As far as I know, if you set your quality="ultra" it skips the XML and uses the values stored for the ultra preset, so the user should pick "_runtime" for custom values. Once the dust settles, if there are values that should be added to the XML, I will add them

No I did not see this post, thanks! Researching all of the possible options and their acceptable values will really take a lot of effort. I've already spent more time developing this tool than actually playing the game :p If anyone wants to help me get that information it would make this more feasible for me

My first question is, have you tried running this by Right Click > Run as Admin?
I've seen win 8 have this sort of issue in the past with this resolution.

The crash is because its unable to load all the default values from your gamerprofile.xml ( missing/bad data)

Try deleting your gamerprofile.xml, then loading up watchdogs and selecting the "custom" graphics options and then trying to use this Tool again.
I put in verification for this specific issue in the latest build :

I've used both versions. The one with no keyboard option and the one with keyboard option. The version you have that has the keyboard section always reverts all of my keys back to default no matter what. I cannot use it because of that. It should be detecting all of my key bindings and leaving them alone. It does see some of my keys but like I said, it always changes everything to default. I have been online gaming for 17 years now and I have never used default buttons. So its very frustrating to have my keyboard settings removed every time I make a change to my hud or graphics. If I don't use the keyboard section of your program then it should leave my key bindings alone. I don't know if you're aware of this happening and I don't see any post letting you know. So now you know if you didn't know already ;)

It absolutely should not be reverting your keys! I don't know why that's happening, I'll look into it tomorrow. Can you PM me a copy of your xml with the keys you have bound so I can ensure that it works?

Great work bilago, putting together your config tool with the current modifications is great, makes the program kind of a all in one package.
I am experiencing an issue though, everytime I launch it, it says there is a newer version available but when I download and run the new version from the link I get the message again.
