Battlefield 4 cpu bottleneck?

So these wonder drivers recently have improved performance but there still is a cpu bottleneck. With sli 780s and 3570k shouldn't I be able to keep over 100-125 fps with this rig on ultra 1080p?

Will Nvidia continue to eliminate the cpu bottleneck with future drivers or would I need to upgrade to 6-8 core intel cpu?

I don't think anyone knows yet but your not really bottlenecking it just with SLI there is little more overhead CPU wise so more cores or faster cores will show improvement .
Ever game is different , BF4 is very CPU dependent, especially in MP .

I wouldn't think there much left with driver optimizations without inducing more bugs in Dx11(10% max) .
But that is just a guess of course .

Try 'FSB' of say, 102.1 and a 46 multiplier. Might help a touch. Also the large pages registry tweak (use the utility for ease of multiple applications) might help a bit.

What wonder drivers you mean ? I can say for sure that latest iCafe 337.90 is the best for me at the moment, better than last beta 340

    Uninstall BF4.
    Install BF3.
    Play BF3.

    Problem solved.

Yeah you're running out of cpu power for SLI, you would need at least 3770K @ 4.5ghz.

    win8.1 helps too

ie 4770k vs 4670k (HT vs no HT and 2mb less L3) + extra bottleneck from 2 gpus will have even bigger gap

Interesting how 2600K with HT lags behind and competes with nonHT Haswell chip, guess them extra storage buffers, new instructions and improved HT really shines when it needs to

That cpu at 4.7ghz should be fine. A ht cpu at the same clockspeed would be slightly better as the game can make use of 8 threads. I wouldn't upgrade your cpu for bf4 though.

I used to be able to run battlefield 4 on ultra but since a few driver updates I have to tune the graphics down a little.

You mght be CPU limited. i7 will help out a bit. I had r9-280x crossfire before my motherboard broke and i5-2500k. I know your cpu is faster but I saw cpu bottleneck and Mantle helped me out. Now the thing is you don't have AMD card.

Also would like to mentioned my 3770k @ stock clock is not bottlenecking anymore when using mantle it will only be the botleneck when using dx11.1. Have you installed windows 8.1 cause that will also help out a bit

Totally agree, great driver for my laptop at least, have been travelling, so only had my GTX780M to try them on, but a great driver so far!!!

Sli usually adds more CPU usage too.
