Broke down and bought it on 360 after launch and played almost the whole way through. Good times. Refuse to be suckered in by their double-dipping strategies though at anywhere close to full price. Clearly had the next gen/pc release schedule planned out all along based on leaked bug logs and the like. Will wait for a big price drop before I consider buying it again.

But that's only if it is not as big a disaster as GTA4 was anyways.

 

Will wait a good year or 2 for all the patches to fix it, then pick it up in a sale

Just thinking of Watch Dogs still turns my stomach! In order to make my money back I'm going to wait for FC4 and AC Unity to be at least half off (by then they'll be patch too) before I buy them... that's if they're good. Ubisoft has lost my trust.

 

The (sort of) good news for me is, my original fat old 360 finally gave up the ghost about a week after I bought GTA5. "GTA 5 killed my xbox!" etc etc

So I sold the game and I'd only got about 10% of the way in, and I'll get to play it almost fresh in the pimped up version. PS4 or PC? Still can't decide. Can't wait.

What's the driving and radio like in GTA 5?

 

That trailer is so epic, gfx fidelity is really impressive.


Much much better then WD, imo the only thing great about WD is characters detail and water, rest feels kinda dated..

 

That may be an artistic choice TBH. Have you ever seen Chicago It's pretty "gritty".

I am looking forward to this may get it on PC instead of PS4 but will wait to see if it's a good port.

 

I meant like missing night shadows by cars or no light bloom or no parallax maps, flat GI lightning,.. small things that make the whole much better.

This is true but they are all there in the engine just not enabled. You have seen what TheWorse is doing.

But yeah I will be getting this for the PC most likely but if it is a sh*t port I will grab it for PS4.

 

Well my point exactly.. They're there, but they decided not to make it working.


Anyway WD is a ubijoke, should have known better never to fall for their hype again.
Bring on GTA5

 

Watch Dogs is ok, if it weren't plagued by lazy optimization... but GTA V is on a whole new league, as is GTA IV. The only reason really that makes me play WD is to satisfy my GTA V urge (I finished GTA IV+addons like 5 times), I fear I will finish it long before GTA V releases though... which will be a pain.
