    Still being tweaked. The XML posted is full of bugs, i just uploaded it since a lot of you asked me this and some people said at some places i was lying about making a XML, so i just uploaded it.

    Stay tuned for the improved XML videos and i will upload it this time when i see no errors or at least not like before, just to avoid confusion.

    Glad to see this thread got back on track.. Always makes me laugh when someone does something in their spare time that costs no one any money and out come the over the top passive aggressive critics.

    And people whined on that the graphics were not as good as they were promised at E3, someone comes along trying to make them better and they complain about that too

    Hey guys, they still have the E3 minimap in the game so I'm gonna try a few things and see if I can get it to show in game.

    Some sites used my beta screenshots as final stuff, and used one of my YT videos to show it as well. Hilarious, anyways.

    I will have to remove the old thumbnails and videos posted here since it makes confusion, that's why I didn't want to upload a beta xml.

    Now it does look good and everything is fixed, I will have to re do the comparision shots and keep the good videos here.

    People is getting stuff from here everywhere.

    Guru is a good forum.. I wish I had got heavily involved in this site years ago. One of the better overall tech forums. It almost self moderates and the users for the most part are really good people.

    Will try my best, I just use the same savegame when it finish loading and from there I take shots. Last time I was sure it was the same ToD.

    This time I will try to see if the light source is at the same place, so there is no confusion again.

    But videos also does the job to show improvements, so checkout videos as well.

    Yeah Nvidia even made a comment in their article about how much if a PITA getting the ToD right in their screen shots.

    You could also use the calibration feature ingame ;)

    What some her trying todo is pretty useless it's pretty obvious that Ubisoft changed from either their own GI or Nvidias GI Works to a semi pre baked configuration in the Developing process understanding they would reach more user with this new IP on different systems without destroying or changing advantages on any of them maintaining the same look and feel troughout all systems and on the other side having the performance bonus on the client side as well :)

    This is also something we can see being used quiet often now for the Next Gen as well in many Sony Exclusive titles to generate a very distinct Cinematic look it's mostly locally cloud generated @ the studios Renderfarms not on the clients themselves ;)

    It is the contrary development of what we saw with Dice when they changed from Pre Baked Beast Lighting to Realtime Englighten :)

    My own test results so far ;)

    it's literally impossible especially for the PC and DX 11 without your FPS driving into the ground, last good implementation i saw was from Nixxes in Hitman Absolution and later the Special Edition of Tomb Raider 2013 for the PS4 ;)

    Your effort is apreciated but, really you dont even touched the following settings:

    Physics
    Vegetation and Geometry quality
    FOV
    Shadows
    SSAO Quality
    Improved Lighting for the entire game (bloom??)

    I tweaked my own .xml starting from default settings found in post (#5), targeting more toward performance. :)

    Did you see the last video using updated xml ?

    Have a look to it.

    There you have :

    Physics ( how trees, grass, etc moves )
    Vegetation and Geometry quality ( The Lod and Texture resolution for most stuff )
    FOV ( tweaked, at ultra retail you cant even see the train stations name from less than half a block and with mine you see it from 1 block away or more just to mention a silly example that doesn't exactly fit here but shows you a huge difference. )
    Shadows ( improved just because new lightning )
    SSAO Quality ( it does look better )
    Improved Lighting for the entire game (bloom?? ) Yes , Bloom and the rest lightning
    And of course the rest, like the gorgeous rain.

    Notbad if you did all this in the last hours with a .xml config file :grin:

    because from the 200 settings of the last .xml just couple are different from default "ultra"


    Yes, i compared all the 200 settings :)
