Just a note, play it offline. The game plays horribly if UPlay is active and online, but if you take it offline, the game runs butter smooth

WOW that is a nice write-up. I will be referencing that latter today.

 

Ugh, I hate this. Sure, people might not like the game but to give it 0/10 is just ridiculous. Seen it happen with far too many games, I bet a large percentage of those people haven't even played it. :bang:

 

yeah, really good stuff. Even for AMD peeps.

 

Well, in it's current state I wouldn't give the game more than 6/10 either... -3 is just for the driving part, -1 for technical issues which will be fixed in time.

 

Temperature wise, does this game seem to make anyone run hotter than usual? I haven't tried it yet and won't be able to 'till the end of this week, so just wondering.

Of course it will run super hot for me uke2:
Fun living in a brick house and holding out for a GPU series that isn't expected until end of year.

Probably a good game to try out RAM speed benchmarks too when I get a chance.

 

It doesnt even login, cannot play offline either. Have to go online once to switch to offline.

 

Uplay keeps crashing now from an unrecoverable error every time it gets to logging in.

Edit: Just got a dialog to go offline etc.. Uplay is so dead

Yeah.. It takes many attempts of opening and crashes but it came up finally.

 

This is embarrassing, if true.

 

Im having the same problem, you can't even access the Uplay website. Pretty obvious there taking a battering.

 

game is smooth for me but my character isn't rendering (it's like playing 1st person), and his friend at start after he gets revenge has a very shiny black head, like with glitter sprinkled on it.

 

I notice zero difference in gameplay in offline mode.. Same old Stutter Simulator 2014..

 

basically mouse action improves it seems.
like i said i'm smooth as silk all maxed without aa, dof nor blur.

 

Its set then, using 1.8gb vram, and making some drift donuts in the city, and it stutters like hell.

So its not the vram issue, its some texture streaming issues, like some unreal engine 3 games... too bad, i hope this can be fixable.

 

The only other game I remember this in was Skyrim.. The game would freeze for a second or two while it loaded a new (large) area of the map and was perfectly fine after that.. This game though you could just get out of your car and spin in a circle in the same spot and get stuttering.. Just terrible
