I've been gaming with the page file disabled for a long time (started in Windows XP) and I can't recall even once having a game not work because of that..

If you have 16GB or more, I say disable it.

I run the game 1080p everything maxed out (no Motion Blur) TXAAx2 - had a lot of stuttering and fps drops. Disabled Page file (the game, and W8.1 is on Samsung 840 500gb SSD) - and it helped ALOT!

Looks like they've turned Watchdogs graphics quality way down for that comparison video - WDs is sh1t loads better looking than GTA4 when it's maxed out - but obviously there will be similarities, its a very similar type of game

Graphically speaking the game is still convincing but not exactly impressive.

I can't find POM in Watch Dogs, it has really been taken out of the game yet was visible in the Feb 2013 demo.
Lighting also took a huge hit, skin shaders too.

    Shame.

The 335.81 drivers seem to help SLI scaling massively. But looking at the GPU usage while playing the game, you can see it's quite choppy. This is probably the cause for the stuttering that everyone is getting...

    How do you do this?

Disable pagefile? I would suggest you google it for your OS, even though it seems to be in the same place on W7 and W8.1, but I bet there are tons of pictured guides for it. I've heard you can use a code line in the game exe shortcut Launch parameters, I'm sure it's mentioned earlier in this thread.

Randomly crashes for me too, so doubt its anything to do with low memory

I never see my RAM usage go above 5.4 GB (after couple of hours of gameplay), even with pagefile disabled.

Game should have Demos and maybe this way we will not see so many cracked copies. Many ppl tend to use cracked copies just to see how the game would run on theirs PC`s.
But if companies like Ubisoft will do this then ppl will not buy their game is the demos runs like crap,so they just release the game and hope for the best.

I wonder where that 'rumor' came from, either way it's a lie.

    from reddi. t :

    Disable Page File Check
Easy enough. Tells WATCH_DOGS not to check the page file and thus not use it.
Add "-disablepagefilecheck" to the end of the target line for your shortcut. You can also add it to the advanced launch options in Steam.
