pls spoil me. i want it does it produced by government? to fight other monster? please. i love spoilers.
I think its not produced by government, it just lives under sea. In early 1950's they used all those nukes to kill it, well not Godzilla but this other creature, Nuktu? - Godzilla fights this later, actually 2 of them (mating couple).. Its still a cool movie, a bit long and kinda cheesy at times but overall very solid. Also has some nice 3D fx.
I saw it with a friend. Absolutely great monster movie. Tons of unrealistic and silly things, but damn it there was tons of destruction and awesome monster fights. A+
Okay, I was going to see this next weekend, but my son And I were bored Sunday, so we went to see it. Is it unrealistic, corny, and has some bad acting moments? Yup, but what Godzilla movie didn't? We watched Son of Godzilla Saturday, and the new movie is nothing like that. Not knocking the older movies because I enjoyed them for what they were. With that said, I like it very much. Took a little to long to get to the awesome old school fight scenes, but worth it! Rumor has it that Warner Brothers gave an offical go for Godzilla 2, since it pulled in 93.2 million here in the states, and 109 internationally this weekend. Missed the top spot by 2 million to Captain America Winter Soldier.
Just watched it in an IMAX theater. The movie was better than I expected. About IMAX, it's better but not much. Maybe because Godzilla didn't utilize the whole screen, so the immersion is not that much.
I saw it on IMAX 3D at the weekend too, took the daughter and we both loved it, did not expect the ending. The film was a bit slow getting going, and it was a bit hollywood in places, but atleast it had none of the cheesy Matthew Broderick humour from the 1998 film, this was a more serious affair. Recommended, but only in IMAX 3D in premier seating right in the middle.
Watched. And so much disappointed. Why? I expected more I guess. A little Godzilla alot of USA soldier drama. C- even fail.
Loved the movie - especially how dark and oppressive the environment got towards the end. It really lent an apocalyptic vibe to the proceedings. I also loved Godzilla himself, all bulked up and thick. He looked badass! Beefcake....BEEFCAKE!
To those that watched it in 3D, is it 48 fps or 24? Just asking since this might be nice to watch in 3D but at 24fps 3D triggers my migraines. 48 is OK and nvidia 3D is very OK with its 60 fps per eye.
That's why you take the second wife with you. She did you a favour. What? Godzilla was a pussy in this one. How many times he died and came back to life? He was too slow and clumsy.
Whaaaat? he said "looked" badass, besides, he was badass, when he came to and ("spoiler alert") did his special thing, twice, how is that not badass? especially the way he killed the queen muto, that was brilliant, not seen a MDK like that before.
we couldn't see him properly in this movie anyway. why they passed all previous battles? so lame man. i didn't go to cinema to watch some USA soldiers drama. comon.
What I disliked so much about the new Godzilla was the fact 90% of the movie was shot at night. It was so dark I wanted to sleep several times throughout the movie. There was hardly any daylight! In most of the action scenes, the camera cuts off and we don't see what happens next.
Yeah. Exactly. I , 3 times , picked up my phone and checked some stuff due boredom. Monsters appears and scene cuts then drama happens, minsters appears, and hen cloverfield style tv scenes appears and boredom. Is is some kind of budget cut ?
It could be way better movie. the monsters looked good but godzilla was BARELY seen, the fights between monster were like 2 seconds and back to boredom. Movie had great potential to be super good movie, but it was average still i give it 7/10.
Watched 1998 Godzilla at home last weekend on 10" tablet. Enjoyed it more than this one in cinema. Wouldn't say that it was a waste of money, but I can think of few things that would bring me more joy.
