damn!!! just went to go pick up my pc copy at bestbuy because i got an email saying its ready and they would not give me it!!!!

said have to come back tomorrow morning after 8am and i got an email because it is physically i the store but they cant *sell* it intill teus the 20th

 

5.5 hours in and I'm loving this game. I even found the

Spoiler

playable version of the original Wolfenstein game, complete with blocky graphics, hidden in a corner of the Resistance base

but I died and don't seem to be able to access it again.

 

Amazon shipped my copy out last night. It's on it's way and will arrive tomorrow. Most likely while I'm at work.

 

Best Buy is pretty strict when it comes to street dates. Your best bet is get your games from Walmart if your in a rush to play. At least with them, you can get it at 12AM at the stores that are open 24hrs..

 

I hope they allow use of the number keys instead of a weapon wheel when using the keyboard and mouse.

 

Im waiting on those reviews fellas. Screw metecritic and all those bell ends. Whats general consenses?

 

oh ffs!!! managed to mess up my steam folder. Steam is now starting the wolf download from the beginning. this sucks. I have already downloaded 43gb!!!

I have a 43.6gb folder in steam\steamapps\downloading\20810

problem is steam is downloading the game again from beginning. where is the default folder for downloads?

 

Almost forget to post this but there is one point in the game where you are forced to make a choice and I have to admit that I found it shocking even for a video game. t's a pivotal moment that sets up the villain in a vile and nasty way but it's one that remained with for a couple of hours afterwards as I pondered if the game would have been different had I made a different choice. It's one I intend to try once the PC version unlocks and I can install it.

Unpacking. Taken 40 minutes so far and not even half way.

 

7 GB of 44 GB installed so far for me...then no doubt there will be a big Day One patch (similar to the 5-7 GB ones the Xbox One and PS4 versions had) then one hour plus of decrypting/unpacking. I cannot go to bed until I've inserted disc 4!!! :wanker:

 

fek it, I'm downloading the whole thing again, will play tomorrow.

DVD is bad and toooo old because 4 discs are big. Therefore, this game retail is stupid, if it uses still DVD.

I would make backup to BD-R DL (blu-ray disc record) in Steam.

 

Back up to blu is good idea.

Ok here's what I've seen right now in the steam discussions,

"FOV=yes, 3D=no, 120hz=no, SLI=no"

60fps cap.

Two people with 7900 radeons (one with xfire) are having driver crashes.

 

So this game is capped at 60 fps? LOL

 

**** this ****, seriously? release a shooter with no 120hz support and no sli support? 60fps cap? No multiplayer? I have gotten over the no MP bit, but none of the other things? Cowboys.

 

Looks like it, not a lot of people with feedback right now.

 

Well, all 4 discs are installed now but...the game is downloading what appears to be an 11.5 GB patch to reach the 40.7 GB download target!!! uke2:

Somehow that makes the PS4's 5.1 GB patch seem, kind of, more OK. Ridiculous that any game should require a 5 GB+ patch on Day One really.
