Just to clarify, it wasn't after setting a non monitor native resolution, it was simply after the 10m idle monitor sleep, it would refuse turn on again. No error no event viewer is logged.

I'll try your suggestion, even if it seems unrelated. Most workarounds for this are usually changing pci-e power link settings, or disabling ULPS with varying results.

I've had this problem since I got this card early this year, starting with the 13.12s, even if only once or twice in a week.

so your calling me stupid for getting the card i wanted ?
i know its expensive but you pay that for outstanding cooling and only taking up 1 slot and being very very quiet... and being faster than 2x R290x, i guess you get what you pay for.

but dont go calling someone stupid for the choice they made.
this card is fantastic i can play most games @4k and at my native and most games are only 50 and 55c on the gpu temps also games that push the card i havent seen temps over 63c at all and its complete silent from the card....

in my opinion that is awesome you know how hot 1 r290x is right and this is 2 of them on one pcb and its performing like that ? with temps like that.
also i bumped the memory on it just for giggles and the memory on it is hynix
and i bumped that from 1250 stock to 1650 rock solid no issues i didnt go higher cause whats the point, was just seeing how high it went lol

again though don't call people stupid for the choice they made.

i've just thinking it's stupid spent 1500€ (at least in italy it cost like this) for a videocard, because the next year you can find this same card for a 1/3 of the price you pay for...

but anyone can choose how they want to spent their money.
    It's your choise ;)

    stop ot :)

If you think like that, you probably shouldn't spend money on any tech. The Nexus 7 I purchased about 2 years ago for $200 is now in the low $100's. The GPU I have now can't seemingly be purchased anywhere for a sane price (paid $240 for it about 2 years ago; only seen it in two other places for about $400-$500)

Pfft, it costs twice as much to buy the same RAM I bought almost 2yrs ago.
CPU costs more now, along with the HDD and possibly the motherboard.
Only things that are cheaper now are the SSD and graphics card (I paid $350 so not by much) and possibly the PSU.
Overall would cost more to build the same thing now =P

my point i was getting at was if your going to wait then its pointless. as something newer will be out thats just around the corner thats faster and better... so why wait... as for your reply i was not talking about previous hardware that was once cheap and now not cheap :D

this driver is unstable for me. started getting BSODs every now and then. reverted back to 13.12 with no problems.

Running crossfire with this set no problem. 13.12 runs worse for me with xfire. And dont get proper monitor scaling with 13.12.

i just had a BSOD, and the BSOD screen said that it was caused by atikmpag.sys

i wonder what went wrong, i have used this driver ever since it came out, and never had an issue.

and it happened when i wasn't even playing graphic intense game,

i was playing Football Manager 2014, and i wasn't in the match view.

because only match view uses 3D engine.

i'm scratching my head, on wether to revert back or wait for new drivers.

i hope AMD focused on fixing issues on the next one, instead of focusing on mantle all the time.

not that i had anything against mantle, but it seems that AMD doesn't care about anything else but mantle right now.

while there are tons of issues still left unfixed.

if AMD doesn't change their attitude, i'm gonna have to switch side.

and i hate Nvidia, because their GPU is always overpriced, even on mid level card.

    edit : fixed some typo.

mantle is complete and utter **** imho they bragged about it for so long that its still not working right.
and forget about crossfire LMFAO cause its none existence i cant even use my r9 295x2 in dual gpu mode in mantle games... so whats the point no point what so ever for crossfire users as the benefit of the faster frames would be slower than directx 2 cards anyway, for the time being mantle is only good for single cards.

You must be the only one then lol cause i have tried for instance theif and bf4 and only 1 gpu is working on my card in those games with mantle enabled.
