That looks awesome Jonas. Whats it like so far? Worth a buy?

    @gerardfraser
That looks nuts. I really wish that crytek stuck with the CE1 for C2 and 3. Imo the 2 and 3rd are too cartoony and MBay transformers like.

I learned about it later after I bought it but it's one of the many recent iOS/Android mobile games that have carried over to Steam these last couple of weeks.
(There's nearly daily releases now of mobile games, Greenlight projects, Early-access games and indie games.)

Unlike a few other games though this is not a direct port as the developers have expanded the game a bit with more things to do, removing the in-app purchase system from the game and improved the visual quality.

I'm having some issues with the controls where I can't effectively turn and move at the same time (Or looking around with the mouse when moving to explain it that way.) and I'm not sure about gamepad support.

The engine used is UE3 and it does not seem to be the "lesser" UDK release far as I can tell, which also means the console prompt is restricted and I can't get custom console commands to work by editing the input ini file.

There's some in-game settings for resolution (Four to be exact, 720P, 1080P, Desktop and max reported monitor resolution.) and graphical presets (Low, Normal, High and Very High.) but though it's less than ideal you can tweak the ini files, I used that with GeDoSaTo to downsample from 3840x2400 to 1920x1200 for example. :)

The gameplay is rather simple, explore the various game areas and talk to the various inhabitants with some light puzzle solving elements and you have to defeat spirits by catching them and "deflowering" them in a small mini game sequence.

Pretty simple but it's fun though a bit basic and as a iOS (Or mobile.) port the game also has, like many others on Steam, a price premium over the original release.

From what I just checked on the forums the game is currently 3 Euro / USD on iOS (Launch price was 7 Euro/USD.) and it's 20 Euro / USD on Steam which is quite a big difference even if the game was updated instead of just a quick port and while it's still on the low-end of a PC game pricing point you might be better of waiting for a discount before getting the game, this point seems to have irritated a number of people on the Steam forum page for this game.

EDIT: A gameplay video should be able to showcase the game better than I can describe it, also it's referenced as a Zelda like game on the product page or it's description of the game and this is only very loosely true such as smashing pots for loot and finding chests that have to be unlocked via keys.

Speaking of that I also followed and recently picked up this game on early-access but I have not yet played it, waiting for a few patches first to solve the current larger known issues.

(From Double Fine so I have faith in them - A good idea for "early-access" games is to check out the developers behind it, or check the forums for initial user feedback -, might take a while until the game is fully completed however.)

Yes more or less 60 constant, get the odd hiccup down to low 50's but they're very brief and don't occur enough to be detrimental to the gameplay. The only exception is the Sand Ocean course, the heat haze effect hammers most systems - I get 49 - 52 fps on that track, the effect can be turned off by enabling skip EFB Access but I leave it on.

Can't we ask mods to change the rules? Doesn't need to be 1920p wide. But 1280p seems far to low nowadays.
1600p is still manageable filesize-wise and definitely a huge improvement in image quality.

This one is 1600 wide for instance.

Let's create a poll topic. I cast my vote for the 1600 wide

Poll is pointless. We don't get to decide. It's down to Hilbert. Unless we do a poll and then make him see the result, then he'll decide. Posting against rules is not cool though.
