That article says nothing that the Bethblog that announced the requirements didn't already say.
Nowhere does it say anything about an i5 chip or playable frames.

Just saw some random youtube video on the first little bit of the game.

When a noob commentator is actually dying 3 times in his own video, you know its a hard game. Probably will play it on death incarnate or higher difficulty.

Mostly its just corridors and narrow alleys, but I don't find it odd, because the first original wolfie was clustered dungeons only. Kinda more like I don't expect HUGE environments in this game.

MachineGames have said later sections of the game feature a more HUB like level design mixed with linear areas.

    aaannnd 24 + 24 is :pc1: 50!. (ish)

Rage had lots of open areas but most were pretty much empty. (Like the days of the Doom 1, 2 and Wolfentstein), if you fill those areas with more things.. game size increases.

    Magic.. i know.

Well, seems I won't be able to play Wolf when it comes out now.

My 460 died last night. Currently using my old 8800 GT... which really sucks. But, shall have to see what I can do to get another card.

Yeah, I'm currently looking around and seeing what I could go with.

My wife was unemployed for about six months, so we're still kind of doing the "catch up" thing financially.
So, not sure what or when I'll actually be able to get anything.

Try posting a WTB in the trading section, maybe you will get a good bargain.

I hope you had the appropriate memorial service for your 460.
The 8800 was a good card back in the day, remember playing the first Crysis with it one.

Yes, the 8800 GT was a great card in it's day. :)
My 460 is still sitting here on my desk, I'm trying to decide what to do with it.

But from reading around, seems Palit's 460s (and other models) had short life spans. Mine lasted 4 years, but I've read stuff about people having theirs die in 18 months.

I have a spare EVGA 460 (from my old SLI setup) laying around and I'm a USA resident (for shipping reason). If you are interested and can cover shipping cost let me know.

LOL really cant believe that. if thats the case they straight up are gimping the game performance on purpose. played the game demo pax and honestly cant believe the hype some are giving this game. its a boring corridor shooter with sub par graphics!!

as far as cpu's go i still feel that i'm ok on my standard i5 2500. im not upgrading until broadwell, possibly even skylake.

Thanks, but I've got a card coming.
My wife came to me, handed me the credit card... and said "This is an emergency, and as such... the emergency credit card will be used."

So, in an effort to keep costs as cheap as possible... while "gaining" a bit. I've been talking with a very close friend and getting feedback.
I grabbed a EVGA GTX 750 ti SC.
Faster clock speeds, core speeds, memory speeds... more VRAM. Slightly smaller then my 460 was, requires less power... runs quieter and cooler.

With my wife's discount at amazon and free shipping, I managed a really good price. And, it's not the top end... or what some would go for.
But, it'll be a solid step up from my 460. And I've always been more comfortable with EVGA.

    Congratulations!

Well its nothing top-end, but the 750Ti is a good overclocker, and an evga model should clock high. And it will still get the job done.

May your temperatures be low and framerates be high!
