with my 1385 oc vs my current 1228 i can totally see a difference in gpu usage in afterburner, with this oc in metro i got very very little leg room at times at 75fps.
with my 1385 oc i was dandy with up to around 6-9% more legroom.

Stock 780ti boost is 928 of course you can match a stock ti with a heavy oc on the 780.

just like other gurus said, oc the 780 and u can break 780ti stock perf. of course slight oc to 780ti will put it ahead of 780.

those two cards are the best u can buy.

totally agree, a single 780 will rip watch dogs apart, OCed of course.
780ti will be overkill haha :p

between you and me, yes I've started the process and i'm gonna give it my best shot.
folks on evga forums have them already but they're still not up for retail sale yet.
some folks to sli them are having to buy 3gb retail version with intention to step up right away lol. at least you can secure yourself one right now so it's viable to do.

GK104 are awesome. GK110 is another league, if u get one u be more than satisfied, specially if u use 3D on games and 120hz

i could see me needing two of these 780s in the distant future, which suits me, with my current card i would need another soon, ..if i had right now a 760 hawk 4gb things may be different.
that 1385 OC really made the difference. it was an incredible gaming experience at that speed.

Which 780 would I have to buy to get step up later? Trying to figure how much I would save.

Does anyone that has already bought a EVGA 780 qualify? Just wondering how hard it would be.

get any evga 700 series, register it within 14 days, then have 90 days to step up to 6gb version or even a 780TI.
you pay the difference in price, and you pay the shipping. (you get a new card in exchange)

Nice card, shame you cannot get it for that USD price. You could buy 3 for alittle over £1100 compared to the UK price of £1796 and thats for the 3GB model!!

a 2nd would be nice at the right time, I worry about finding a 2nd tbh, I dunno if these are gonna be obsolete soon or if 780 6gb and 780TI 6gb are gonna start flooding the market.
the fact the new concoles have uber amounts is interesting.

If your not happy with what you have now then upgrade, if you are happy then wait until your not happy before upgrading. Personally if it was me and i wanted more performance i woulda just put another card in sli and waited.

This way you get a nice performance boost, its cheap and best of all you get to use your saved money on something new not to far down the road. Win!

i'll be happy with 2.3k shaders and 6gb ram for now.
a 750ti for PhysX would be nice, hell yes.
gotta be for a nice game though.

It would be nice but its all wasted for gaming unless your benching. It just sits there in your PC idling....
