I've seen more people whose lives have been wrecked by alcohol than any other substance. Marijuana should be in the same category as tobacco.
It already passed in michigan so now I smell it up and down the hallway which ruined the apt complex I staying in. Now I wish I stay esle where because it lame that now I'm forced to smell it thru the hallways, and the vents. If the smell didn't circulate out the apt's into the halway the air and get stuck in the elevator then ti be different. I'd go stay with my dad and bro if they both didn't smoke like a train making teh whole house smell like a smoke stack. Spend 10 secs inside and your clothes smell like you been smoking, even standing beside him rubs off onto your clothes.
Legalise all drugs! Idiots/the poor/depressed will always take drugs, drink to excess and become addicts. Let the people in Liverpool or whatever have their heroin. They're happy because they've got their heroin. I'm happy because they're not breaking into my house to feed their habit and the government is happy because of all the money saved on prevention.
Making something illegal never stopped anyone from using it anyways. So if you choose to use a drug, better be on the safe side of the law and have a better guarantee for quality.
I live down the road from Southampton and I avoid it at all costs because of the junkie chav infestation lol
Comparing to if alcohol was banned and getting legal only now, I think mari has better chances. No way I see alcohol being legalized if it were banned from the beginning. There much more violence, harm, depression and addiction cause of alcohol. Of course people might find something else to ruin their lives with, but alcohol doing it very very well.
Can't say I've noticed any junkies but there are plenty of chavs full of WKD puking and fighting everywhere.
I smoke it daily and I'm still pretty productive - job/social life/GF (she ain't a smoker so more for me!) I definitely think it should be legalized if alcohol and tobacco can be allowed to ruin so many peoples lives. It really annoys me when people class weed under the 'drug' term which in their minds makes it no better or worse than say meth or crack. These people usually drink large volumes of beer and/or smoke cigarettes - no drugs in these of course..
I can garuntee you it does extensive damage to the lungs if smoked, and is normally smoked with tobacco - which is also pretty bad. The only way I'd sign off on this would be as I've suggested, so the only thing which would be damaged is the brain.
Using the legality of alcohol to defend legalization of weed is a pretty **** arguement. That said, I only support banning the worst of drugs (heroin, meth, etc), not harmless ones like weed.
The war on drugs was been a tremendous failure. It is imperative that new approaches are studied, not necessarily legalize all of them, but something must be done other than what we are doing which does not work. As for weed is a nonsense to be illegal.
