Nice you got it working and the temps look great at those voltages.

Glad to see you got it working.

Those temps are too high for me.... I get nervous over 65C....

Those temps are fine for stability, games wont go anywhere near that high anyhow. You have another 5 degrees before you become unstable.

Can you do some linpack? (Intel Burn Test, run it at maximum) You got HT on I assume?

    Let's see some results. :D

I gotta say, I am not surprised by the lack of performance by this Zalman product. Zalman used to be a leader in cooling solutions for PC components, but they have been seriously slipping of late. I picked up a Zalman cooler last year and it was virtually no better than the stock AMD cooler! With so much available out there, there are better places to look than Zalman anymore. Not sure what happened to those guys...

Yep my thoughts exactly, I was going to say he has WAAAYY too much thermal paste on the CPU but he said he tried the good old grain of rice, and other methods with no differences.

This sounds like a defect pump, send it back on RMA and get a new one. Test that and if that is the same then send it back and get your money back and get a decent Corsair, CoolerMaster, or evn the Silverstone TD02 or TD03. I have the TD02 and its a beast!

    EDIT:

Silly me didn't read all the thread.

:O that is simply crazy that Zalman didn't even fill it. 100% a manufacturing issue. Have you contacted them and told them what happened?

I am surprised the pump didn't explode or become damaged as it would be pumping basically nothing around the tubes or unit?

They should give you something for free or offer you some money off vouchers for somewhere as if this was someone else who didn't know any better and just installed it into their rig and forgot about it their CPU could of fried and pretty quickly as well!

Man I never heard of this happening. One of them host of one of them computer tech shows was going over their new computer build and this cooler was was given them to test and he said that he was going to put that cooler in his new system. I hope that the same thing did not happen to him.

Yeah the OP was lucky that no damage was done to his CPU because of this. Zalman is almost responsible for a new CPU. But he should be compensated in some way.

ZALMAN already responsible, I really appreciate the apology
although late, but better late than nothing

my advice: immediately handle your consumer complaint
