You need to install with both on. When the prepro is not on (does not need direct connection) the driver will not recognize the second monitor/hdtv. Once on/connected just reinstall same driver over should do it. If both on disregard.

Must have more than one output? Reinstall with ensure both are on first.

    Regards

What do you mean by prepro? The card has 2 DVI ports with one monitor connected on each, whichever monitor is connected to the second port never comes out of standby. The card also has a mini-HDMI port so I think I'll probably get an adapter for it and see if that works. Thanks for the help, not had a problem like this before.

Chit I had to do to stop the crashes on my end, tho I'm still on Win7.

Disable Steam overlay, enable vsync in Nvidia control panel, disable it in game menu.

If you've done those already then I'm stumped.

TDR issues are gone for me since the 290.XX series.

I believe i was still on my 580 then.

I can always produce TDRs when my card is clocked too high. Play like that for an extended period and it will result in a driver crash. Easy fix though ;)

My second monitor is a LCD tv connected to a a/v preprocessor and if it is not on when installing the driver you can not enable it afterwards and need to connect and reinstall drivers. No signal during install means no dual monitors.

    You were saying?

I'm just implying that many of the TDR problems we see may only be related to clockrates being too high, either through an automatic boost function or the user himself.
It's not a driver malfunction, just the user trying to squeeze out too much.

i can't install this on my Rig.. Using 780Ti Sli with 750Ti Physx card.

Tried installing over 337.50 installing failed. Tried using clean install, again installation failed. Lastly using DDU installation failed again.

Reverted back to 337.50, installation went smoothly. Why can't I install this driver?

Unless you have the screen mentioned in the hotfix, you are not missing out on anything.

Do not worry and just keep 337.50.

Thanks. I tried to install this Driver without my 750Ti, and It installs fine. Guess this driver has problem with installing in one Computer with Maxwell and Kepler together.

I will use 337.50 in the meantime. Hope they will fix this problem in the next driver.

Since the card is not movable I tried disconnecting the power cord and pressing the power button to discharge everything, didn't help though.

I picked up a mini HDMI adapter and that's working just fine so I have my second screen back though the DVI port on my card seems to be properly broken at the moment. I suspect it's just some config setting somewhere in Windows that is stopping it working but I'm too lazy to re-install to find out...

    Thanks for the help guys.

hmm , once you had drivers installed for the one card ,shouldn't just adding back the other auto link the driver 9no need to install driver again .

I would think it would work, once driver is installed .
