first of all, G-Sync JUST came around.... so it's foolish to expect there to be a plethora of choices from the mainstream to the high end right from the get-go. Hell, look at the [sarcasm] VAST [/sarcasm] selection of monitors that have a 120hz refresh rate or higher. And the ones that are 120hz (that i've seen) don't go any higher than 1920x1080. And not only is the selection of 120hz monitors very slim, but you probably won't find G-Sync on any monitors that AREN'T 120hz. And if you're looking for something that's not a TN panel... don't think i've seen a single IPS panel yet that has higher than a 60hz refresh. Technology isn't really in your favor at this point in time, dude.
Well it's been a little over a month since I installed the G-Sync module in my Asus monitor and all I have to say is bravo Nvidia. I am really impressed. Hopefully monitors with them already installed will start selling soon. I wouldn't mind picking up another once for my other computer.
Sh!t yeah it's worth it. But I would contact Asus and ask them if it will void your warranty by installing it yourself. I know over here it voids the warranty of the monitor. Im not sure how it works over there.
Ok i need me one of these asap cant wait till we get them in the uk If i buy it pre installed i will get 1 year retail store cover
Finally bit the bullet put my order to scan.co.uk they are the only retailer in the uk to sell the asus gsync premod monitor, Does it fair well with sli setups? And what games have you tested gsync with?
It works fine with SLI. I've tested WoW, Guild Wars 2, Bioshock Infinite, Wildstar, Battlefield 4, Assassins Creed Black Flag, Diablo 3, Starcraft 2 and Batman Arkham Origins. Playing with and without G-Sync is like night and day.
Very nice to know i am amped up with excitement, will get this stuff delivered to me Saturday morning Got two ek fc780ti blocks coming and a ek dual bridge so a bit of work to do draining my loop and re routing my tubes. Fun times the monitor will then be hooked up for all its 144hz gsync glory.
Looking forward to hearing what you think of your new monitor, still waiting on one myself. Good luck with the plumbing.
ok setup the monitor, i am now seriously considering sending my second gtx 780 ti back to store as i am within my 14 days, this monitor makes one gtx 780ti enough at 144hz on pretty much everything i have tested so far.
It's nice ain't it? Have you tried out Battlefield 4 yet? It's a whole different game with that monitor.
hell yea its awesome i can not believe what my eyes are seeing the smoothness and responsiveness is so good, bf4 runs sooo much better i thought it used to run flawlessly before on my standard monitor boy was i in for a surprise once i hooked up the gsync monitor it feels like a new game, smoothness fast and responsive!!! i am a happy chap. I must say i am surprisingly stomped. I decided to keep my second ti for the epeen and bells and whistles in crysis 3 also looking forward to the witcher 3 and mordor so want to keep a powerful gpu setup for the future, just installing assassins creed black flag atm as i had it uninstalled as i found it a stuttery mess in the past lets see if gsync makes it worth while now.
I'm pleased this old thread was revived and with good news of another happy G-sync owner! As a reminder to him, Blurbusters discovered V-sync input lag reappearing at max HZ. He should cap fps @ 140 fps, to avoid that. It's shocking the DIY kits were sold out again. The enthusiasts have deep pockets! Guess NVIDIA won't be cutting down prices anytime soon.
