People panicking is good for business. It makes my portfolio fatter. :D

As Kezen rightly said people need to seriously stop panicking. If you can run the game on medium you're getting the same exact experience as the PS4 anyway and if you are able to push beyond that you're getting a unique PC gaming experience and are a lucky bastardo.

I'm expecting a similar reaction to when GTA V's specs finally get confirmed to how everyone is now reacting to WD's spec demands, just as long as I can get an experience equally equivalent to the next gen versions I'm happy. But that's just me.

They would not list a 3770 in the recommended specs if HT was not taken advantage of.

Think you accidentally keep hitting your 'n' button - most likely with your thumb.

Anyway, PS4 will clearly be the most graphically amazing out of all the platforms.

People seem to forget that they recommend cpu's at stock speeds, my 2500k runs much better at 4.4+ than its stock 3.3ghz.

Don't be quick to judge, AC4 was not playable at maximum settings with TXAA and HBAO+ using a single 780Ti. I had to OC mine quite a lot (1230ish) and use D3DOverrider to avoid the dips down to 30fps. So even OCd I couldn't maintain 60fps at all times and the game would eventually crash due to temp problems (after 2hrs or so).

The new driver took care of that though so hopefully it will be the same story with Watch Dogs.

On the other hand Gabranth has managed 1300+ and has a HT CPU so I guess he's fine after all.

    I dont have HT (4670k) :D

Anyway, even with my card I can't hold constant 60 on AC4. But I have never seen it go below 50's. Did you patch your game at all?

Oh, right, sorry. I'm tired today, damn those mondays :D

Did you use your 1300MHz OC while playing? How did your card manage?

Well as I wrote it's much better now. I've not played a whole lot but I did it at stock clocks and I saw very little dips below 60 which is great. I assume a mild OC up to 1200Mhz would do just the trick. No more D3DO :)

I rarely see it dropping to 50's and never below that. My card can hold 1305 before it starts crashing (black screen after gaming a while) I guess I got really lucky with this one (It's EVGA 780 ti SC, not classy) but not so much with my CPU.. Almost 1.3v core just to reach a lowly 4.4GHz. :wanker:

I also didn't notice you mentioning that the drivers fixed your FPS problems, guess I am also tired. Good for you, I can't see a 780 ti dropping into 30's. :)

I have drops into the 40's still with my i5/780 system 4.5Ghz on a 2500k still ain't enouph with the new drivers.

Those are two very different things, there isn't any link between the two.
    Mantle's implementation is AMD's business.

From the recommended specs we can be conclusively certain HT is supported.
    To what extent ? I don't know.

    Err....Nope if you include PC.

The "ultra" specs will look significantly better otherwise such a GPU would not be required.

Oh I think you are lucky indeed :) Mine could do 1252 at first but lately it's just gotten hotter which forced me to run at stock speeds.

If your game drops to 50 or something like that you don't use Vsync? The reason for the drops down to 30 is because I use Vsync but the game does not support Triple Buffering. But when I use D3DOverrider Triple Buffering is enabled and the FPS can now go between 60 and 30fps without issues.

Yup, I always disable Vsync if possible.

    Ah there we have it.

I hope Watch Dogs will support Triple Buffering. We'll see I guess.
