While this isn't uncommon to demonstrate tech videos on beastly rigs I hope it won't take such a machine to achieve the level of visual fidelity in the Nvidia trailer.

The graphics aren't that great, so for now i don't believe that specs. But it's nUbisoft we're talking about, maybe the game is an un-optimized mess.

That's what I'm thinking too, but since they've created a brand new engine there could be some optimization in the way.

We will find out soon.I don't believe any world nUbisoft says anymore, since they said that AC4 will run better than AC3 and it didn't.It was the same un-optimized mess, nothing changed. But Watch Dogs uses a new engine, and nUbisoft has proved that if they really care, they can do great things with Graphics/Optimization(Splinter Cell Blacklist etc).

Yes, Blacklist has been a rare exception, besides they've worked with nVidia. Anyway, one of the most important things, as I have written elsewhere, is that Ubisoft Kiev is not taking care of the porting.

nUbisoft Kiev is behind AC series, isn't it ? And Watch Dogs is under another studio.

Exactly, every time they put their hands on a porting it resulted in a total mess... :D

Watch_Dogs porting, instead, is handled by Ubisoft Montreal, which is working on PS4-XBOXONE versions as well. :)

yeah, after double agent & AssCreed 3, im surprised we didnt have to build our own api just to get blacklist to launch.

Wonder how long before they make performance patches 'paid for DLC'.

    ^ :D That would be a nightmare...

Build your API: take some glue, a pair of scissors, a 1000 pages C++ manual and have some fun!

Blacklist ran like a dog for me initially but one single optimisation patch completely changed all where not only was it playable I could then pretty much max it out too so there's plenty of hope yet. As has been said people need to remember this isn't the same engine that brought us the infamous Boston of 10fps from AC3 and no input from Ubisoft Kiev too.

If I can run Watch Dogs on say medium settings with my spec perhaps with HBAO+ enabled I'll be happy.

Step 2: Purchase launch model of "high-end" Maxwell U-Jus-Got-Burned Edition to go in the draw for your chance to win playable frame rates. *Magic driver not included*

Step 3: Enjoy the realization that you can no longer blame consoles.

B..but thats the way its meant to be played.

Alright, enough trolling. I'll see myself out.

It was not an playable demo. They were just showing off some new gameplay I think. But the frame rate was bad. I'm gonna use my i5 2500 one more year then upgrade.

^ Ok, thanks. At least we know for sure it was PS4 footage. Your CPU is good, it will perform well in my opinion.

Step 4: Start blaming something else.

That isn't that heavy considering BF4 was demo'd on a dual GPU card, plus Nvidia use the Titan any chance they can get.

Turn off TXAA which is quite resource heavy and a even a standard 780 should be fine.

I see people panicking on various PC boards...

Relax, graphical settings are there for a reason.
This is only logical ultra settings are grossly demanding that's their reason to be.

No official word on where the 8th gen consoles stand but I would be very surprised if the PS4 version isn't equivalent to medium/high settings at 1080p/30fps.

Do you think I will max this out or is the HT so important? Maybe I will have to get an 4770k...
