Powertune working here on single card, can finally overclock

 

Scored the winner for us (Liverpool) against Man City today

 

What's the best way to check if powertune is working ?

 

OC, fire up haven without vsync and see if it throttles under 95c

 

It never has throttled, never goes above 80c either 1100/1400

 

then you are good to go

do you need extra volts for 1100?

 

This driver started crashing my PC whenever I tried to open Google Chrome.

Back to 13.12's and now, I'm waiting for the next WHQL's

I'm beginning to suspect AMD is having a hard time to obtain WHQL certification for the 14.X series, exactly because of this lack of stability.

We are the bleeding edge, a great majority of people dont do what we do with our hardware.

 

Yea, +50mV for almost everything, +80mV for FC3

 

I find the best way is to fire up heaven, stock clocks. Whack on full voltage 200mv and 50+ powerlimit and monitor clocks in GPU Z. If clocks are dropping it's not working.

With this set everything is working fine for me. All the others before were throttling as the 50+ powerlimit was not working.

 

Is this the latest official driver, or a pre-released driver, in that case, when will the official 14.4 WHQL or BETA be released?

 

Not official, Its just the 295x2 review driver, were not supposed to have it, WHQLs are this month sometime.

Is Windows 7 x64 supported? Or these drivers are only for Windows 8?

I'm asking cuz I only see W8 folder with this drivers...

No, they work on Win 7 also.

 

TBH, almost any additional volts is going to throw you out of the stock TDP.

It bumps right up on that 350watts at stock.
