yeah, I've had two and I could have had another last week but I choose the 760. only way is up or down, never a straight line

gaming wise there could be, someday.
anyways I seen the barrier crossed ages ago.
    thief, titanfall, bioshock infinite, bf4.

You will run out of gpu power way before vram with 4gb gk104 gpus. I dont think gk110 can effectively use 6gb of vram either unless you run 2 to 4 gpus in sli. 2 being the minimum imo.

I will run out of gpu power with AA, blur and post disabled?

I will run out of gpu power when everything is on low except the ultra textures?

you have two things on gpu, ram and cores.

game effects use cores, textures uses vram.

I get a vram heavy game, disable all the effects but max the textures, i'm over 3gb on a 780 easy, 780 ti moreso.

Tbh I never ran my 680ftws at 1080 with no aa as it looks absolutely awful otherwise. Higher resolution of 1440 I still need aa just not max. If your just running no aa 1080 I would just keep that 760 rma.

    now I tried 760 I don't wanna go there again, just like I don't wanna go 680 /770 again.
only way forward is 780 /780 ti
problem is 880 may not be too long now lol
I do miss my games though.

it was pre-meditiated, I weaned myself off them before making the move initially.
    anyways only bf4, and ..what?
wake me up when daylight arrives.
but sure I have nothing to do with my hands now.

Yes but why? Selling? Bored? Just curious. I'm thinking of selling mine to either get 2 780 ti's or wait for 8 series

when I got my 680 what made it special was the high clock speed /mem speed.
however 780 arrived and sslapped it around. :(

my 680 was special still though cause it had 4gb vram.
however I heard 6gb 780 variants were coming which would reduce my card's resale value even further so it was time.

and she went ,the same way as the others, except the 760 which went her own way. :(
poor card I digged that lil' whore.

Do it I went from sli 680s to 780ti sli. I don't know when the good maxwell will be out. Not anytime soon is my guess. They will probably wait for amd to release new cards first imo

Whore card lol. Sad but yer I suppose it makes sense. You could always do what I do and sell them to friends that know no better and still pay a pretty penny for them after I have the cards I want!

Anyway... Anyone have a clue when the 780s with more than 3gb are coming? Failing that does anyone know anything more about release of high end 8 series

    Yes they did.

I can now play BF4 at 1440p Completely maxed out with 4xMSAA and at 130%+ supersample and only use 2.8-2.9MB Vram.

Before I could barely hit 115% and it topped off at 3034MB.

    Drivers are coming along nicely.

Glad to see they are addressing the Vram issue at 2K+.

780 classified is very tempting, around £410, very nice price for sure.
the 337.50 was rad while I tried it.

Caught an amazing deal on a 780 classy plus EK nickel CSQ water block for 510$. Only six months old, been clocked to 1200 but only on water and stock voltage. Still has >900 days warranty left.

the 780 classy is well priced (£410)
the 780 ti classy not so well priced lol.

I wasn't much into moving to 780 as I though it wasn't much of a move from 680, but sure you have around 800 more shaders which indeed is nice, and a bigger step from 780 -780 ti.
so yeah 780 classy at £410 or 780 ti titan cooler at £510 ..(780 ti acx cooler at £540).
i'm leaning towards 780 classy tbh (780 ti classy is near £600).

I lost the 780 I had my eye on, must have been listed not even a single day.
it was from an amazon outlet with tens of thousands of reviews, sounded like an EXDisplay, was £300, evga 780sc with titan cooler. yup.
so now that it's easter anyways and delivery will be for Tuesday earliest i'll wait on my rma and try go for ..a lovely 780 classified or a vanilla 780ti.
the 780 classified sounds good, and wouldn't clear the bank as they say. :D

OCUK has a 780 classified on special at the moment, £407 and it comes with an Arcade Master, which is a cool bit of kit.

I believe TK on this one I never ran outta ram on my 780sc. And I came from a upgrade of the 770 and I love that I did, I'm on 1080p and never found any game that it can't run with eye candy. Up to you though 780's are great at OC and ti is even better If you can find a deal I'd say you'd be real happy getting a 780 then sliing it later if you need more power.
