Black Flag is the weakest among the games I listed, but it only really comes apart in ship boarding when you have a lot of allies confusing the game's AI and your targeting. It's very easy in the rest of the game to string together long chains of death, with only the occasional E or space key to keep things going.

I can't watch the vid at work, but I'll take a look.

I second this, I love both AC3 and AC4, but combat is definitely better in AC3. AC4 has other parts where it stands out, both are great though. I'm pretty sure though, that TW3 will get a massive upgrade in combat compared to TW2, it was the same with TW1>TW2.

I just seen Dragon Age 3... Didn't the first one get GOTY.

Anyway, it looks to give Witcher 3 competition for best RPG.

Take 10 minutes of your time and read CD Projekt Red history. It's a good read.

I still worry about the combat being responsive.

    Not like it's ex-padded to a controller

The programmer says he has some doubts about Mantle. He acknowledges that if used by other GPU makers it could be an alternative to DirectX, but he is not sure if it could fit for different architectures and that could complicate different codes for various graphic chips. He can't say anything definite about Mantle yet.

German is not my first language, but that's what he said pretty much.

TW1 has the most epic story and acting of all time. the first time I played it when it came out I instantly got hooked to that gorgeous character and how strange that person was and how he was unique in his own time

    Hopefully I'll have a G-Sync monitor before it's released.

Well I said this a long time ago, TW3 will be a PC killer (at very max settings that is, just like TW2 with its ubersampling) and because of that Maxxwell will probably be bundled with the game and promoted along with all the nvidia exlcusive graphic features the game will have. This might actually be the first game were FURRRRR will look awesome and physix will make a difference. :nerd:

Doesn't sound anything like a PC killer if those rumours are true, in a years time the 780ti will be an oldish GPU and new cards will be running the game with ease.

I don't think the fur effects is PhysX anymore, last I heard it was using DirectCompute and has been rebranded as Nvidia Hair works which is good news for AMD card owners.

There will be GPU based Physx effects in addition to Hairworks.

35-45fps with ubersampling on a 780ti suggests that it is less demanding than TW2. not worried at all. 1440p, no ubersampling, with smaa still fly.

Nowhere in the article is ubersampling mentioned. Only 8xMSAA, The Witcher 2's ubersampling is significantly more demanding than that.

By the way, devs on the CDP's forum have commented on this :
Gametech's claims are most likely bogus, for better or worse.

Hope it's at least decent AA. 8XAA in Far Cry 3 is extremely demanding and doesn't even look that great. I think people will be fine with a bit of downsampling and their PPAA of choice.

The game will most likely support MSAA/TXAA and FXAA.
Downsampling will invariably yield better results of course but its egregious performance hit makes you think twice.

I'm fine with quality FXAA or even better SMAA 2TX. MSAA, TXAA or SSAA are just to taxing for my system.
