It still works for me, I am using Win 8.1 Update 1.

You can use the old Boot Menu so you can enter Safe Mode with "F8", you just have to type "bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy legacy" in command prompt.

Type "bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy standard" to use the new one.

Or you can create a bat file which when run will take you strait here,

Just create a bat file and paste this in to it.

    I called it Troubleshooting.bat.

Yea I've been using that BCDEDIT command since they removed the F8 screen but even running it again to double check it was still set, F8 failed to load the safemode screen for some reason

I know my keyboard is working during post because it brings up the boot device choice screen first

Cheers for the .bat - I`ll save that into my box of tricks :)

Any chance of a better mirror for the download? I can't seem to successfully use either link here at work.

MEGA is the best there is, if you're using Firefox, make sure you have the MEGA addon installed
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/meganz/

    Or use Chrome

Anyone with Trinity/Richland/Kaveri and with a sea island ISA discrete card have tested HSA/OpenCL 1.2?

Thanks for the Chrome suggestion, I'm never keen to install browser plugins, ended up getting faster speeds than Microsoft downloads :)

This one BSODs after a couple of monitor standby cycles

It seems to actually disconect the monitor on standby, and reenable it on resume. I get the disconect/connect sounds.

    never had that before.

14.3 exhibited similar behaviour for me (for the first time), and I suspect the whole 14.x branch had similar issues. I've already filed a report with AMD :)

Great driver for smoothness in games, best benching scores I have gotten with R9 290 Crossfire, which is still better than my 780Ti sli scores.

To my surprise mantel/crossfire not working in Thief or BF4.

    R290 Crossfire

DX11-BF4 online check 200FPS in one spot

Mantel-BF4 online check 120FPS in one spot

Single 780Ti DX11-online check 178FPS in one spot

    R9 290 Crossfire Thief benchmark

    DX11-75 FPS

    Mantle-75 FPS

    Single 780Ti DX11-77 FPS

Weird stuff going on. Re-installed driver two times and same results, going for a third install.

Only limited amount of time with this driver all other games in DX11,DX9 seems ok so far except the ones that should work with mantel in crossfire.

Anyone have success with 290 crossfire with mantel.

EDIT: Put a user file in the main folder for BF4.exe and now can run Maxed out and 200% scale with mantle.

Mantle 200% resolution scale 75-90 FPS
    DX11 200% resolution scale 35-72

    Line added in user.cfg
    RenderDevice.FramePacingMethod 1

Now on to Thief and these drivers will be perfect for me,so far.

any idea how to disable the monitor disconnect?

im talking about when just the monitor goes to standby, not the whole system.

It didnt do it to me on the prior 14.x.

I believe it's not the monitor that disconnects, it's the video card!

It's called Zero Core Power, and it TURNS OFF the GPU when it's not being used. Maybe disabling ULP solves it?

I just got my first BSOD after loooong time. I was just running the Fishbowl ( http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/Performance/FishBowl/ ) on Firefox on IE11 test drive website.

I see you mention BSODs often... I never had them with previous drivers. Only when I was trying to Open GPUZ some times whilst another program was using the GPU lightly -especially when I see a movie with DXVA on.

I ditched Firefox altogether... I was causing me so much pain...

Chrome is faster and more stable for me! And uses MUCH LESS memory!
