If only this 6Gb version would be a little beefier, I was thinking 13-14SMX, kinda like 260GTX 216core edition Just plain vanilla 780GTX with extra 3gb is kinda meh atm, idk I would want more powah now at this time
I would miss my second card especially in BF4, i have a 144hz display and 1 780 would struggle to maintain 144fps in the games i play.
just found out with this card. some old games(13 years old) wont detect resolutions higher then 640x480. with my 580, the games would go to at lest 1024x768 I had to set the resolution in the games ini file and the game runs fine in the resolution. not really big problem as Iam going to send those games over to my win 98 gaming machine as they will play better on it.
I run 2560x1440 115hz and never dip below 100fps with mostly ultra settings in bf4 msaa off. Dropping effects to medium and particles, plus using low fxaa and it runs like a dream, usually 120+ fps. Would I like msaa? Sure, but it isn't worth going sli for to me. Same thing applies to most games along this idea.... cost and multicard. Once I go 4k I'll need more horsepower though.
I had a Qnix 2560x1440 display but sold it, could never get the color right me, Have you seen this? SAMSUNG LU28D590DS 4K 28" its only got 2xhdmi and displayport and no dvi, its 1ms and a tn panel lol
Got mine a few months ago. Love itttt! I don't have to worry about any games running slow on my Core i7 2600k
Damn... Since the RadeonPro development is pretty much over (and new driver might break support), I wonder if I should get rid of my R9 and try to get Asus GTX 780 (which is something that I always wanted to).
If you will, then also consider about PNY 780GTX XLR enthusiast edition, its cold and OC's really good at reasonable price, PNY has special binning process for these, I think I saw it mentioned in one of these 2 reviews. ~1150- 1180mhz base is pretty much guarantied. http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphics/2013/11/15/pny-geforce-gtx-780-xlr8-oc-review/10 http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/foru...5715-pny-geforce-gtx-780-oc-3gb-review-7.html For ~ 450€ http://geizhals.eu/pny-geforce-gtx-780-xlr8-enthusiast-edition-kf780gtx3gepb-a1049998.html
Bought the ASUS for 439 €. :nerd: Good thing that I checked the weekend deal from Verkkokauppa.com... Just the card I wanted!
