Hi, I'm new here. I made an account just to seek help on this issue. I'm running Server 2012R2 trying to remove CCC 13.9 (CCC isn't actually installed, just the drivers) for my HD7950. Everytime I get a weird error message and DDU closes out. Anyone seen this before? Thanks.

Because you should have keep your nice link that I'm always using:

    http://www.wagnardmobile.com/DDU/

Now as you see Guru takes the credit and addionally brings ppl to their forum. At least, did you receive any donation by them? At least a small monthly amount -imo. Just hosting ain't nothing. You can do it yourself already.

I still wonder about the real reasons the guy behind Driver Sweeeper left.

Keep my link? I did remove it somewhere?

Driver sweeper history has been explained by Hibert (http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=4754306&postcount=1213)

Will be fixed in next version. Server 2012 r2 doesn't have a prefetch folder? or you disabled it?

I think it's more probable that he disabled it in the registry or he's using a program that make you use only Prefetch and Superfetch for systems load up applications and libraries making windows start-up faster.....in this last case I think that there are only ReadyBoot folder and Layout.ini file in prefetch folder and don't think there be something else.....almost this is what happens in my system when i disable for prefetch and super fetch (in the registry) applications that launch when the system is active and I clean the Prefetch folder too.

Ya thats what I thought. Anyway it was useful as even if it doesn't exist, DDU should crash like that. I forgot to but this zone on a try/catch section.

It is not just Enduro that will be denied but anything that switch from An intel gpu to the AMD GPU(what you seem to have) is not really supported.

Ill check to put this as a warning instead of a complete deny in next version.

The program automatically closes after this warning.

I'm fairly certain that I didn't mess with any of the fetch settings, rather leaving it stock. Or I may have changed it and forgotten. Anyways glad to hear this will be fixed. I vaguely remember having this same exact issue trying to remove drivers for a HD4870 under 2012 R1 as well, and that was a pretty fresh install with little changes.

...I just googled it and apparently prefetch is disabled by default on windows servers.

Hey I am new to using this tool, and I am having an issue trying to even install it.

I get this error: "The procedure entry point CreateDXGIFactory2 could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\d3d11.dll

Now, I have run the microsoft web installer to make sure I have the right directx. I have even replaced this d3d11.dll file with another one, as well as installed the June 2010 redist package and then running the web installer again. Nothing has worked.

I have seen this same exact issue happen before with SweetFX in a game (Far Cry 3), and I just deleted the SweetFX contents and I didn't have the issue anymore. It seems the issue I am having currently happened right after the Far Cry 3 issue, but I do not see how that would affect anything in my System32 folder, as the SweetFX contents were in the Far Cry 3 folder and deleted now.

All of my directx 11 games work completely fine (I check whether they are using d3d11 by running MSI OSD, and it shows d3d11 or d3d9 depending on the game.

I have been trying to tackle this issue for the past couple days now to no avail. If anyone could shed some light that would be greatly appreciated.

I am new to the forums, so I am sorry if this is not the correct spot to post this issue.

    Thanks in advance! :)

My tool doesn't need an installation.
My personal thought is that your o.s is broken and need re-install. you seem to have some critical issues with your current installation. DDU cant fix what you are experiencing and it seem more deep than just driver installations.

Did you make sure it is Windows 8.1?

If it is, then you might broken it by changing the dll.

Yes, I am using Windows 8.1. All of my programs run perfectly fine, except this one.

Is there anyway I can replace the d3d11 file with the correct one?

This app doesn't even query d3d11 (at least not by my code). Its a .NET application.
