*Today AMD is expected to release a beta driver for Windows that exposes some shared memory extensions to OpenCL.* ....

 

Still a new driver though I know that one is supposed to be coming with the Vsync r9 290 series crossfire fix, so perhaps it also includes that

 

AMD aren't exactly driver punctual, so I wouldn't take AMD's word for it let alone that website.

 

hi, have the 7870 oc edition running at 1150/1350, but i cant find any option to activate matle. can u plz tell me how i activate the api?

It's per-game basis. In Battlefield 4 x64 enable in the graphics options.

got it, i missed install latest update for bf4.... can select the api yet and will try it out now.

Huh, thought it was too good to be true. I now hope that Dice will patch bf4 tomorrow. Mantles running great bar a big stall/cpu spike i get every 5 minutes or so.

I know but there are some big bugs currently. GPU throttling (+50% power tune not working - gpu throttles with an overclock) and vsync issues (fps dropping when vsync used + sound crackling) are killer bugs. Just looking forward to some drivers that have these issues solved. The vsync bug has been preset with every driver after 13.11 Beta 9.2.
