    hi everyone,

    first, sorry for my english.

I want to build a new pc with this components:
    - i7 4770
    - Gigabyte MB z87
    - 16 gb ram
    - and MSI r9 290 Gaming

My question is, had anybody with this MSI graphics card black screen (because other models like sapphire, gigabyte, powercolor have this problem), i am afraid about this issue. or some other problems overheating or BSOD or something else.

    thank you for you answer.

No black screen for me unless I OC the vRAM too high

I got 2 amadeuxs, at stock overclock clocks, but only on the desktop (gaming, benching was all fine), one day after i got it i got the first, when a Steam download had finished and i closed Steam down, the other i got a week later, when i just closed Firefox down, but since i locked the clocks in Afterburner Saturday gone (as they jump all over the shop without locking, which i thought may have something to do with it), ive had none, been rock solid so far, and if i get through tomorrow, that will be a week passed without :)

Try overclocking the card with MSI Afterburner

How does it run on BF4 for you mate? I got the Asus DCII OC edition slightly higher clocks.

I would thought it could easily run BF4 maxed with 4x MSAA but it's having a hard time running the big maps and FPS dips to the 30-40s.

I'd hoped it to run it flawlessly at 60fps, i could even run it maxed+2x msaa on my old 7970 Matrix card.

Or could it be my high res? i'm running 2560x1080@60hz.

Why not use 2x MSAA at that high resolution? The PPI at that resolution should be well enough to look like 2x MSAA on its own.

Yeah i thought that as well, but 2x isn't enough to eliminate most jaggies.
4x looks just perfect, some indoor maps handles it fine, 60-80fps but Caspian Border and other big open maps FPS dips below 30-40s alot.

You mean mine? they are updated.

I have the Asus DCII model, not had one single blackscreen after 2 days of use.
Played BF4, COD Ghosts, WoW, Elder Scrolls Online, Wildstar Online.

Hmm, you could do with a RAM upgrade, 4GB is pretty low considering your GPU has the same amount of memory

You need to OC that cpu to at least 4ghz that will raise your score in heaven and your minimum frames in most games that are cpu heavy like bf4's multi player.

Wow didn't even look at his ram, 4gb is way too low for that gpu and cpu imo 8gb should be minimum or 16gb if you can get it for a decent price.

Does the board not even support multiplier oc'íng? 4ghz is pretty easy to get even on stock voltages.

Should still be able to OC the CPU with that mobo

But yea, when you get your new RAM you should see a good boost
