Pretty much runs like that unless I remove those 2 commands.

With the 2 commands removed, It's smoother but there is still large cpu spiking but I'd hazard a guess that'll be due to lack of optimization for the HD 7 series aswell as the R9 270/280.

Either way, I await the next beta drivers with the hope that the issue will be resolved.

If not, DX has served me well up to now.

Yeah, I know so I stated it..."...again no triple buffer working and fps goes to 30 when below 60 ...how is that possible? I have not changed anything..."

I just put your advice in practice but unfortunately, it still yields the exact results. I then attempted to replace the 2 files within my Windows directory (32&64 bit included) and cgminer now fails to launch with an 0x0000000000000000007 error. Any way around this?

Thanks for your advice in advance!

uhh....dont mess with the windows directories, put them back. your asking for trouble.

if you are on win7, you should be able to revert the files. if on win8, no more shadow copy, so youll have to reinstall 14.2

how did you get the two files? it should work, others have done it.

it needs to specifically be the two from the APP package i mentioned.

    woops, missed that, sorry.

try forcing TB with radeon pro and see if it works that way.

Ok my findings on this driver.
Mantle is the same in bf4.
Runs smooth for a while then stutters like hell because the vram gets full.
In dx11 it runs smooth... performance is the same as previous driver.
It's a stable driver but the big thing for me in this driver is the frame pacing support for eyefinity resolutions.
I can play bf4 in eyefinity and enjoy it :p
    Big difference .
I locked it at 50 fps in eyefinity 1080p and settings ultra + 2msaa and it's pretty steady It occasionally dips below 50 to 45 .
Pretty pleased about the long waited frame pacing support.

Maybe it's not issue of OpenCL libraries, but clocks. Older driver may not keep clocks that high as card heats up.

the opencl libraries are the same as 14.1, and they were borked then as well.

It could be a combination of things, certainly.

This driver and BF4 runs very good with Mantle now. The Vram usage is very strange though. I use Medium textures and the vram goes to 2100+. My card is 3gb so no problem here. The test range saw a huge performance boost to 100 fps+.

The commands to make the game use more job threads gave me cpu spikes but using the default 4 with Mantle is ok. I will try 6 maybe to see the difference. Maybe with crossfire more job threads will help.

With two r9 290s I see 3.5GB Vram used at 1440P on ultra. There isn't really a difference there between DX11 and mantle, actually.
Just remember that non-Hawaii cards are not yet optimised, so don't be surprised when it doesn't work correctly (yet).

Outstanding performance with new set of drivers and Mantle on High preset @1080p@60Hz.
Had only one crash, I alt-tabbed and it got me an error message something about 7x series.
This driver is completely stable to me and I'm not crashing no longer (as it was case with previous set of drivers; crashing once per round for an unknown reason.Just freezes the game, without sound loop or anything and gave me 'Battlefield 4 has stopped working'.)

    Stable 100-110 FPS @ High preset @1080p@60Hz.

EDIT: @ Low preset @1080p@60Hz gives me 140-150 FPS.

With my setup I'm more than shockingly and pleasantly surprised with Mantle performance and this set of drivers!

My fullscreen doesn't even work with mantle, just pops up with a can't take ownership or something, error. Anyone else got this?

Still not satisfied with 7870 performance in BF4 with mantle... hope they optimize it in the next beta.

I have 3 pcs in the house. All are running this driver. HD 5770 HD 5450 and Hd 7850. Two are low end media pcs, and my gaming rig. I have a Hanns G HH251 monitor hooked up to HDMI with my HD 7850.

It detects it as a HDTV. The stupid 24p Crysis bug wont let me go fullscreen even with scaling set in CCC. If Im not set to 1920x1080 60hz I cant go true fullscreen and have black borders and it looks like ARSE.

Performance wise driver runs awesomely. No bugs that I know about other then this monitor detecting crap. Never had this issue with my 560ti 448.

Havent tried mantle too much. Prolly try it today. I flashed a 1000 core/1300 memory bios I made yesterday. Stock clocks were 860/1200. When I throw on a H60 soon Ill for 1350/1500.
