Exactly that would be imo the bare minimum to expect from Samsung, these specs are more of a disappointment. Usually the Galaxy S is the king in terms of new specs that then move to Notes, not the other way around.

They were also expected to say something about their Exynos Infinity during the MWC and nothing came up, unless it's planned for part 2 of Samsung Unpacked.

They should make mini version with same specs but 4.3-4.5" screen. That would be at least something new considering the form factor.

They should be focusing on longer lasting batteries...

Go for the new Sony Xperia Z2. It's got the faster Snapdragon 801 processor, 3Gb ram, 20mp camera, made entirely of glass and metal and is $200 cheaper.

$800 will be the retail cost for the Samsung Galaxy S5 whereas the Sony Xperia X2 will cost only $600.

    Samesung screwed up big time.

well i am currently happy with iphone 5s and NOTE 3 combo. just was expecting a good racer from Crapsung. they did well on NOTE 3..shame on S5.

and Z2 looks great overall. the screen is different too..what was it IPS? no something different sorry i forgot.

    Note 3 > S5.

As I said in another thread, as a s4 owner I am not impressed with the s5. That 128GB micro sd card support is nice, but that's about it.

Yes, they use an IPS screen. Sony with their IPS screen and Triluminos display
    with X-Reality Engine looks gorgeous...

It's a shame really that the Galaxy 5S looks very similar to the 4S. Some rumours are saying that another version of the 5S may be released shortly after the current one only with higher quality metallic materials and possibly a tweaked camera with optic stabilization.

So anyone wanting the 5S might patiently wait to see the better rumoured release of the 5S.

That's nothing new, the S3 can take a 128GB Micro SD, nevermind the S4 or S5.

I picked up my S5 a little while ago. I will report back after I play with it for a little while more. But my first impressions are that it feels a lot snappier than my S4 did when scrolling the home screen and app drawer. Maybe it placebo, idk. I'm liking it so far.

It seems once you root your S5, you can no longer do OTA updates. Even if you unroot and flash the stock rom back.
