That was the only let down, would've been epic seeing one of them experience the traditional Pug-spec-torsion-bar-sideways-in-a-straight-line effect in action.
I dont bother watching it live anymore. Just fast forward through and watch the odd interesting bits. Too staged, same old same old stuff its like de ja vu every series. The specials are usually good though still
Indeed but whilst watching all I could think is, what if they had dumped the electric motor, the batteries and the gubbins that does the power transfer and had instead put a slightly larger engine it. Surely it would have been lighter than the current set up and it would have been even faster?
nah the veyron weighs like 4200 lbs. if you take all the batteries and electric crap out of the mclaren it would lose 170kg putting it around 2700lbs. It may not be faster than a veyron in a straight line but that would sure make it more fun around a track
The P1 would probably be quicker around town too, with electric motors filling in the gaps in the rev range.
