hey , NVIDIA-Guys why talk like, as if u all are stubborn-proud-blind ? why don't just use logic ?
Like, nvidia will not/cannot use mantle, cause if it was as open as it was promised to be, AMD could easily add mantle-support to 6xxxHD and 5xxxHD cards. Simple, it is GCN specific or forced to be GCN specific.

Logic is great if the evidence bears out what logic suggests. Logic isn't so great if the evidence suggests otherwise. So far, we don't have nearly enough information to draw a useful conclusion about what's possible or not possible.

Is it likely Mantle is optimized for AMD-specific hardware implementations? Yes. Is it a certainty? No. To put it simply, we need more info.

The best thing about standards is that there are so many of them.

I get that, but what are the chances of Nvidia adopting an API developed by their biggest rival ? Nvidia will probably develop their own API before adopting Mantle.

it looks like, you are telling half of the truth here. According to Johan Andersson ,the contrast bug does not affect performance. source >> https://twitter.com/repi/status/429985248995467265

yeah nerfed graphics never cull performance, usually the other way around.

it is a bug from the dice patch go to twiter and official bf4 forums it does not affect performance the graphics are the same it is just gamma and brightness going wonky.. i have the same issue

    quote form their menager
"Thanks for reporting, it is a bug on our side with the sky/fog that came in as part of a late change, know what it is and we'll fix it. Doesn't affect performance. "

    Your fanboiness is showing...

Major game developers worked with AMD to create Mantle. It is an open system, usable by everyone for free. It makes it easier to programmers to create better graphics for lower powered systems (ie, most systems out there). Somehow, you find this to be a bad thing simply because AMD was the lead on it.

    Interesting.

^ Ok, i agree, better graphics for lower systems. Then how will work the marketing stuff with buying gpu every year due to not working well on games ? eg: with mantle all users will buy only mid-range cards and play with them in fps of high-end cards ?
    eg2: high-end cards will disappear ?

Nothing will change in how most people buy graphics cards...they don't buy them now and they will continue to not buy them. Most people buy a mid to low range PC and keep it for many years, then replace the entire thing. They use whatever it comes with that entire time.

EDIT: Most people do not know if they have Intel or AMD CPU, let alone what graphics maker they have.
