Well, it works fine much of the time for me. It is BETA, people still can't wrap their arms around that. I'm not disappointed at all because now that I've seen the performance increase with a 4770k/280x, it is more than expected.

If it doesn't get patched right away and the game isn't stable, NO PROBLEM; simply turn Mantle off and wait for solutions/patches. Or, rollback to older drivers. This isn't anything out of the ordinary. Again, it is BETA, always keep that in mind.

It is a known issue for 290/290x CF. It doesnt happen in beta 9.5.

it's still a beta and the first to introduce mantle so there will be bugs, on my system nothing crashes and it's not a top of the top system.... so did you install this driver on another or did you do a clean install

Yes, I made a clean install...used latest atiman.

I have noticed that if i disable vsync, then i dont have stuters anymore in mantle (not sure at what fps, i will check in a while) but as soon as i enable vsync in mantle everything works like **** and completely unplayable...stars swarm works fine so no drivers problem...

I don't have my APU in use. The Mantle part of the driver is bad, crashes and some VRAM memory violations. Also there are definitely less details in Battlefield 4 when using Mantle, maybe the hole thing is just hoax, lesser details ==> higher fps?

Otherwise driver works great on DX11 mode. I get Battlefield 4 120-200fps @ 1920x1080 ULTRA+SweetFX+120% resolution scale. I decided not need the mantle that's why I have superior rig. I will give mantle next chance when The Thief comes out.

Tested with Star Swarm, and no difference with mantle...

    Maybe its because I have a HD7850...

Guys when uninstalling use DDU latest version (11.3 at time of writing this) found here:
    http://www.wagnardmobile.com/DDU/

When you run it let it reboot in safe mode and uninstall drivers. Reboot and run ccleaner (cleanup and registry fix) then install new AMD drivers and reboot.

DDU works much better for me than driver sweeper and atiman uninstaller.

    :)

Here BF4 and Mantle are actually helping alot, running very smooth. (2x 7970 in Crossfire) and i7-3930x CPU. Before Mantle I've noticed that walking around and mouse movements were not smooth enough, now are very smooth and silk.

Well tried it on BF4. Not very satisfied. While fps did raise about 20 fps on some areas (which is really good!) a lot of stuttering was introduced as well as severe frame drops (from 70 to 30 to 50 to 45, etc), making the game quite unpleasant to play.
I also noticed, as many people have been saying, differences in graphics. Not sure if it's a bug or intentional, but it seems mantle screws up brightness or gamma or whatever it is called:
