I completely agree, some mmos run terrible even with decent GPUs. It's ridiculous.

Guild Wars 2 hands down would benefit greatly with Mantle. It's not really that CPU-optimized at all, and GPU usage in most cases rarely reaches its' limit due to the CPU holding it back.

also from the pics dice posted ( it was johan andersson he claimed on reddit), the graphs showing frame time in miliseconds were almost flat for the gpu when compared to dx.

Yeah the main area im looking for improvement in is overall smoothness rather than fps. BF4 feels laggy sometimes, even at 70+ fps

we are kinda lucky that AMD didn't decide to wait for WHQL certification for this beta driver :biggun:

can you guys imagine if AMD decide to release it after they got WHQL certification ? :bang:

i've read that news hours ago, we need a translator that can define what tech power up meant by shortly.

In Valve Time, "shortly" means in six months :p

    Offtopic:

My FPS went up, when I put Battlefield 4 user.cfg and Battlefield PROFSAVE_profile file this command ==> GstRender.Thread.MaxProcessorCount 8

My 7970 combo gives amazing FPS now. I have also all cores unparked.

Now with mantle I will possibly get 100min,140avg, 200max fps @ 1920x1080 Ultra+SweetFX+120 resolution scale

Interesting, I have mine on default, does this mean it's not using all 12 threads of my 3930k? It's got 6 cores and 12 threads, should I set it to 6 or to 12?

I have no idea bro... just try. Put 12 threads first :)

Some guy from Battleblog forum gave that advice and it worked!

Poor Parking... My CPU can't park due to bios settings. All 4 of my cores are running 24/7 @ 4.5GHz and can't downclock.
EIST/turbo are evil things negatively affecting performance and in some cases causing stutter.

Btw, a lot of people here write in their signature CPU OC as max clocks they get from turbo with 1 core. While in reality they are running 4.6/4.4/4.1/3.7GHz based on how many cores are in use.

monitor your cores with task manager before and after.

I'd like to know how true this is, since it takes MORE effort to overclock a single core than all cores. sure you'd get a higher on a SINGLE screenshot of that higher overclock, but nothing that's respected shows that.
