AMD Mantle Update - Driver released to press

Damn that looks to be some half assed driver, lol.

 

Forgive me if I read this wrong, but doesn't this say that the driver, that was supposed to specifically SHOW BF4 gains of up to 40% roll actually doesn't?

OR does it mean that the slightly less gains of what was it, 15%? That isn't the highest it could go?

What an odd thing to say about an odd release of drivers that don't seem to be much use?

 

Well given how much pressure there is for this driver..JUST to get it out...at least its out...1 day late...which is acceptable, definitely. Now that its a half-assed driver that may even have installation issues..well...I guess you can't have everything at this point..but lets see how the new versions turn up...and in what frequency. Hell, we could be looking at a 'newer' version in days even for all we know...Lets give them a B for effort and lets see once it becomes available what kind of grade past that they'll receive...everyone's system is different..so ..i doubt we've even seen 1/100th of the bugs that are going to pop up in the coming day or so
We've gotta give em a bit of credit..after all...EA/Dice even beat them to release this time...when was the last time EA/Dice did anything right, first?

given the press release driver notes...I think Ill be more than content to wait for AMD to release their own driver for the public....that thing sounds a complete mess

Mantle and DX11 are swapped at medium tests, unless ultra quality adds ~50 FPS at 720p ...

Bolloks. The terrain deco. Bug is stilll there. People must be blind to not see it. Or are just to lazy to really test it.
And yes. Also with win 8. 8.1. Just look at battlelog. I also tested it a few mins ago at friends house. Win 8 @ 7850.
Medium and low is still ultra if u start with ultra and change then.

Even the trick Tj explained doesnt work for me.
I have to join the server with ultra and then change. And before the game ends. Of course back top ultra so i can set it back to low.meddium when the new map loaded..
I posted enough pictures to show this. Explosion craters. Tank craters and more..

This isnt teh best start for something like this, someone could imagine..

 

Gonna hold out on this one until my 7000 series is better supported.

 

Of course, you don't see any load bar after changing settings, not everything can be changed on the fly :!.
