AMD Catalyst 13.30 BETA (13.300.0.0 RC3 January 8)

Drivers functioned well in single gpu and in CF in ARMA 3...non-functional in COD: Ghosts with CF enabled in any resolution even with in-game "optimal video settings" enabled...repeatedly crashing to desktop.

No one will believe this...the drivers automatically uninstalled themselves and left me with only part of the CCC.

 

An issue here, can anyone else reproduce it.
Have an active tray icon in Windows 8, maybe Windows 7, make sure it's visible always, not the sound icon, but say Comodo Firewall. My GPU won't go into suspend if this tray icon is visible near the clock. Is this just me?

 

Just one thought, given the amount of discussion the size of the driver has created.

Could it just be that it is a x86/x64 package? there are no distinct driver for each architecture, so could it be that the package has both, and thus, is double size?

No more screen jumps with this driver, so I can leave 13.10B2 behind me.
They perform good thus far.

 

3 different RAID package, unpacked they are 300+MB

 

this set can be install wide range of amd gpu but focused someone....

incomptiblities must be fix on 14.1 or next releases. amd trying big modifications on driver... may be we can see gcn real potentional.

Any one tried these drivers for mining ?

 

I actually tried, it was totally a mess, my 290x was throttling with 75-80c
I could not get any stable engine clock... just memory...
That was making me loose 5-10% kh/s , mostly because I have to lock my clock to 922mhz to get the most performance.
I just used DDU and revert to 13.12 whql and its all good again.

 

Well I hope thats why I have a ****load of HW errors with these drivers on my R9 290 otherwise my card is ****up :/

edit : I reinstalled the 2.9 SDK and i still have ****load of errors :s

 

Sounds like a "Fail" To me. :crapper: Not even gonna chance them on my 7870 SLI's

 

Even more reason to use them. Btw SLI is an Nvidia term.

 

Without having to read the entire thread, do people with the 290 X and non-X think these drivers or the 13.12 WHQLs are better ?

 

Just wait for 14.1. It will be released in 3..2..1... (hours/days?)

 

i had problems with my 7870Ghz edition from Gigabyte so i reverted back to 13.12 which also has problems but not as bad cant wait for 14.1 drivers.

 

I never bothered trying these, as they are just for Kaveri, the 13.12 WHQL's are working fine for me though, so i take it you got yer 290 ?

 

Huh, they work fine on none Kaveri, in fact, they work better than the 13.12 drivers. Tested on 2 7950's

 

Not everybody uses a motherboard chipset and GPU from the same manufacturer. Unifying the driver installation for the two leads to a bunch of useless software being installed.

I must say, AMD make it especially hard to find something as fundamental as their AHCI driver (for example) without also installing a bunch of needless stuff.
