I've got the invite and i have to say.. it's pretty awesome.

So far i've tested with the following game.

    Civ 5
    DayZ
    Payday 2
    Arma3
    Endless space
    Red Faction Armageddon
    Star Wars: TOR

This is tested on a poor dualcore laptop with Intel HD3000 with wi-fi

I've also managed to run BF4 with steam streaming with some tricks but it's lagging abit.. it's due to the streaming service does not detect it as a game or 3d application..

I wish, you can only stream to devices that have a full steam install, I.e. not the steam app.

Can't wait for this to come out, maybe it will stop my flatmate bugging me to put my pc in the front room

I might have to upgrade my wifi card in my laptop to receive 300Mbps from my router. I can currently only receive 145Mbps.

So maybe soon we'll get gaming machines that only stream games rather than having to install/insert a disc? Subscription based game services (a bit like Netflix)?

Not soon but we already had Onlive for all that.

I look forward to trying this streaming thing. I'd love to see my dad's old laptop play games haha!

When we stream, does the game display output on the streaming PC or just on the PC it is streaming to?

It's display the game on both computers. Steam streaming_service just forward the output to another computer.

    sounds good

so it basically uses the hardware in the main PC and then streams the content to basically any pc/laptop with windows and steam installed?

    like streaming videos with vlc?

if so then wow just wow :)

    Yeah, correct :)

You can also stream non-steam games. Just add them to the library and start streaming :D
