Constant 60 with PhysX set to high ?

 

Anyone have a link to new physx? It seems to be down for me.

 

Driver size increases because Nvidia bundles crapware like 3DVision, MS.NET, ShadowPlay, Nvidia Update etc.

Did a quick physx test in Batman AC and Batman AO,

And Batman AC runs worse compared to older driver, more streaming stutter between changing scenes. At first i thought its new physx fault, but it run around the same with older .0725

old gpu with old driver 32.xx or maybe some beta 331.xx

So far its r334 issue with older physx games, less effective more gpu stalling.. For exampkle by Batman Arkham City I saw more fps drops by that ice cannon particles scene.

Maybe I'll try 331.87 again, will see.. I dont play Batman AC anyway :nerd:

 

^ would this mean that the more recent drivers one uses, the less confort of game we get on old physx games ? and more interestingly with older games generally ?

Or is it more that to get the best of each game, you have to find "the" right driver for your rig ?

I am a bit annoyed but do understand that there are so much games and gamer's desires...

nvidia is joking right? is exactly same driver released 4 days ago... and delayed for make one inf file?

 

Well it depends from driver branch to branch, older U3E physx games are the most sensitive and usually take the biggest hit by min fps or boost. I saw something similar by UT3 physx map, first Cuda6 driver (330.xx or 331.xx) made a big difference, also better gpu usage.


I think I used some early 331.xx driver by Batman AC and it looked ok, up to 8fps difference by min fps vs this 334.xx.

 

Well, now we are waiting for R335
Maybe we're gonna see some Thief/Castlevania improvements in the upcoming set.

 

It's common that nVidia first releases a QUADRO driver and then a few days later one for all consumer cards. The difference for this release is that you do not need a modded inf.

I don't really see the problem here.

 

Like the Quadro set, these are causing an issue in Prepar3Dv2. Terrain has a dark region around the aircraft.

Used Driver Cleaner and did a 'clean install'

Thanks for the updated PhysX software, but I'm sticking with the Quadro set for now. They're just too good to pass up.
