With a "Videocard: Nvidia 520" don't even dream of mining ANY coins. Even my 680 sucks at mining. You'll need highend AMD cards.

    Read: http://cryptojunky.com/blog/2013/03/06/getting-started-with-litecoin-2/

I'd consider mining if I had a ****ton of AMD card rigs, but I wouldn't buy these stupid coins myself- even if I had your stolen debit card on me.

If you want to mine coins, invest in a few R9 290X's, waterblocks and custom loop.... Oh yeah, and a CPU to drive the cards....

That's like expecting miracles to happen.... If you want to actually mine coins, a budget graphics card isn't going to cut it. Especially if you're going to do it as an investment.... The idea is to mine as many coins as possible, as fast as possible and hold onto them until their value increases. The slower the graphics card, the more power you'll ultimately use to generate the same number of coins.....and thus, a lower return.

I still don't really understand all this bitcoin stuff... I mean, aside from that they use them in Almost Human... Can you sell them for real money, or buy REAL things with them? I don't understand what all the fuss is about.

A big part of what is making virtual currencies successful is the illegal online trade. Infact I'm fairly certain that 2.0 was commissioned by some dude that wanted Bitcoins value increase. Some sellers accept Litecoin on SR but don't expect it to ever have the same monetary value as Bitcoin in the future.

Btw you can buy a Lamborghini with Bitcoins. DM Article

EDIT: Two virtual currencies controlled by one partnership is of allot more strategic value than one going at it alone.

Yep, money laundering made very easy. Same with Tor having legit uses, but again, you'll have hidden sites like Silk Road (and so much worse things) using it as well.

Those ASIC do not work for litecoin or any other scrypt based coin. Right now there is no ASIC miners out for scrypt coins.

Im a miner with 4 280x's dedicated to mining any scrypt coins that run 24/7. Right now im mining dogecoin. I was on litecoin then moved over to feathercoin for a little.
