If you are running a resolution of 1920 x 1080 then FOV should be no less than 80. Personally I have mine set to 90, as it gives a better field of view. Nothing worse than having a weapon taking up almost all of the bottom half of the screen.

Still waiting for Mantle update to decide whether or not my next card is going to be an ATI or NVIDIA...

I want to see Mantle in action before I decide. If the gain is huge, it's time for an ATI card :p

Mantle will bring its own issues. Might as well go with past experience and which is cheaper because both are equally good.

Can anyone tell me if that SweetFX package is compatible with Windows 8.1 (DX 11.1) and BF4 64 Bit runtime file ?

I was told it was not compatible with Win 8.1 awhile back and now heard from others that it was compatible using a modified file or something....can anyone confirm this?

    Tnx

Is there really something wrong with XFX AMD cards? because I am seriously considering getting one..

I do not plan to crossfire.. Just one card running on my current motherboard that has an AMD chipset with my current CPU.

The card looks like this, I thought it was nice and was not the size of adult human's arm which means I can fit it in my case.

I wouldn't personally buy a XFX DD card.

If you can then get XFX 280X DD/ MSI Gaming, it will be a much better upgrade imo, that 270X is like a OC'ed 580GTX.

Ive had both AMD and Nvidia cards lately. Honestly the AMD cards and drivers have given me way less problems then the Nvidia ones. Don't be ignorant and listen to people that usually don't know what they are doing.

I wonder how much anti-aliasing an R9 270 can do in BF4 if the resolution is 1366x768.. haahhaha~~!

I do know the difference between R9 270 and R9 270x ... R9 270X is quite a bit more expensive than what I am looking to spend.. The R9 270 is actually the exact same price as my GTX 460 that I purchased back in 2011 "$229".

The cheapest 270X I can find is a powercolor model that is so ugly I don't think it's mother would even love it.

The new China Rising maps are so awesome... I finally got to try out the one shot pickup sniper rifle and actually got kills with it.. hahaha..

    The desert map is awesome.

I've some German servers in my favourites list, their ping is usually 100-130 but now a couple of them are over 300. What's going on? :-S

Played a bit with Bigtime tonight and was having hitmarker problems again. I shoot folks with my LMG and nothing happened .. odd.

Where are buying from? AMD prices are over inflated at the moment. You can pick a 760 up for around that price and it will wipe the floor with a 270. Here's a 760 vs. R9 270X as you can see 760 is more often than not in the lead the margin will be greater with the non-x 270.

For me to get the cheapest 760 I can find "Galaxy GeForce GTX 760 2GB"... that will set me back $299, which is a bit more than I want to spend, This is in Australia.

I am interested in Mantle and mostly play Battlefield games hence my interest in Mantle... so.. um.. yeah.. that is why this time around I think I will try an AMD video card. and I noticed a few of the Guru's here went AMD also when BF4 was releases so I know I'm not alone in my decision.

Very Much So!!! Now that they have fixed quite a few of the bigger crashes.. and the game feels much smoother to play.. It is very fun.

Still some outstanding things to fix, but as it is it is very good.

It's ok. Stability is not a problem with the game now so I can recommend it if you're a battlefield fan.
