OK that means it hasn't been updated.

    Thanks.

The CPU microcode or AGESA version. They're the same as 1708.

From what I've been reading, a FX-8350 is a OC'd FX-8320 correct? I can just OC past 4.4Ghz with good cooling like a FX-8350 could?

Hey guys, i am considering the FX 8350 since my old Q6600 is obviously in need of an upgrade but i keep thinking about the 3570k as well.

I know some games like Assassins Creed 3 and 4 need some brute CPU core power to get them running decent so im just wondering what kind of FPS you guys are getting with the FX 8350's vs 3570ks in the last 2 AC games, is it 50 or more minimum FPS?

Ive tried looking up some benches on youtube and i saw one or 2 showing the 3570k handing it pretty good like 50+ FPS but cant really find any good videos showing the FX 83xx FPS.

Also one thing to consider is im running at only 900p on a 20 inch monitor and will not be going any bigger, so im sure either CPU i go with will kick me in the back of my pants anyways but im just curious for some of the numbers in the less optimized games that require brute core power.

I feel like I can finally post here, as the proud new owner of an FX-8320! I wanted to get my moderate overclock stable first so I wasn't a pretender lol. I am stable at 4.3ghz and am happy with that atm! It seems a very solid improvement over my 6100 OC'd to the same speed, and I think this will improve as more software makes use of multi-threading capability. I think I am done upgrading for a hot minute. Cheers

Anyone tried the latest Sabertooth BIOS yet? I managed to drop my vcore from 1.48v to 1.44v stable after flashing. It also includes an updated microcode.

The downside is constant BSOD's with RAM at 1T.

I usually leave my ram at 2T. I honestly don't see a difference between the 2 settings.. Unless there's something i'm missing.

^ It's funny you guys mention the 1T vs 2T RAM thing. I just set mine to 1T and for some reason, CPU-Z still sees it as 2T regardless of what my BIOS setting is. So to be honest, I don't know what the hell setting it is actually on lol.

Not to mention for some odd reason, my RAM score in the Windows performance test dropped from 7.9 to 7.8.... I don't know what happened with that.

Slight improvement in latency and bandwidth, only obvious in benchmarks really.

The 1T BIOS setting doesn't work with ram faster than 1600mhz for some reason. You have to force it using AMD Overdrive.

windows performance index is useless, microsoft has acknowledged it by completely killing it in windows 8.1.

with a 650 ti? at what settings? at high settings, no nvidia specific features or msaa I'm getting 40-50 fps with an fx 6300 and a 7950 at 1080p.

Dunno if I posted these, I lapped my 8350 a while ago, iirc it dropped about 10c off load temps

Guys I have a question; do you guys enable HPC mode in your bios settings or leave it disabled for your overclocks?

Very nice! Hmm, I'm wondering if this is something I should consider for mine, because even with a Scythe Yasya, my temps are a bit on the high side at 4.3ghz with CnQ disabled...
