Go to a island where is vegetation and see the fps drops

 

Been to many areas to test including heavy jungle and although gpu usage goes up to 98% on BOTH cards the frame rate stays at 60. This is on win 7 64bit.
Perfect SLI scaling as when I use 1 card I get nearly half the framerate.

 

Ubisoft finally fixed the UPlay issue with acquiring the 1.04 update and the DLC.

Water doesn't really look any different to me though and neither does the underwater sequence I tested unless it only affects some specific area or is some other subtle effect.

 

What is that capsule? How to get it. I see some ship wrecks. So we dive with that?

 

It's a diving bell, they did exist in real life (Albeit I have no idea how reliable they were but now there are modern versions.) anyway you get it later on in the main story where you are given a task to retrieve a item from the ocean floor.
(Unfortunately you can't buy it early on, it'll be until mid-section 6 or so in the main story before you have access to all game mechanics plus items like the rope dart.)

(It'll be until near end of the storyline before you have access to all locations too, bit restrictive perhaps but you still have a lot of exploration to do even so.)

all thanks to a 780ti adopter in the owners thread, totally blown away by the generosity, I got splinter cell too.

 

so yea, Uplay just decided now to download the dlc updates...... everything is there now..... haha

 

I can run game at the default 60hz but not with my preferred 75hz, which is fine cause I'd need a new card for that, this game is the most demanding I own currently, which is nice.
*looks nice, I'm at the island chasing the dude.

 

Once you get into the city your performance will tank turn off ingame v-sync and run triple buffer in driver so you don't have screen tear. But this game is not demanding it's a CPU hog. As soon as I start the game on my i5 PC (2500k @ 4.5Ghz) core0 goes to 100% and stays there I've never seen GPU usage on my 780 go above 65% and that was when it was at 60FPS.

 

I'm seeing some PhysX smoke and I've not got my guns yet, lil' white clouds of it here and there in the game world.

My cpu usage actually dropped .. lol. 80% on the first core and 40% on the rest. I give up. I will simply not waste my time on anything ported by Ubisoft Kiev. They do not have the skill to do anything beyond the most basic of ports. I wish Nvidia partnered with 2K instead of Ubisoft.

 

How and when do I get access to 15 docks, I currently have 10 .....

 

Few problems I'm having.

1. I cant seem to go over 60fps, yet my default is set to 120hz. I have vsync off.
2. I been playing on 3570k and now upgraded to 4770k and I'm experiencing fps drops into the 40s

any recommendations?

 

The game is capped at 60 frames and there's no way around it. Not sure about your other issue.

 

1. game is locked at 63fps (60fps vsync)
2. The only thing that could have changed is hyper threading, maybe try disabling it in the bios to see whether it benefits?

I'm on a 4670k and I'm yet to see cpu bottlenecks (4.5ghz)

 

Damn, mayan armor + pistols swords + gold flintlock pistols look fantastic, too bad I got them all together so late in the game. :nerd:

 

I haven't seen my CPU usage go above 30-40% at all.
