I have purchased several of these monitors (non gsync) for my studio, and unfortunately they pivot to portrait, but the viewing angles top to bottom are downright terrible. Kind of unfortunate that they chose this particular model to use for Gsync.. I would believe there are better displays they could have used.
First part of your post. That is to be expected of a TN panel. I'm sure they will have better panels later if the tech is well excepted which the whispers we've been hearing are very positive. I'm more curious about if there is a way to retrofit older monitors with this tech via an add-on board or replacing the board in your monitor
Motionplus sort of does this, fakes a smoother and higher fps. Something like SVP integrated into TV's would be nice though.
I Disable that on those tv, I hate how it makes things look unnatural. And that saying something seein completely despises LCD/LED tech cause of its inability to deal with fast motion. I say if gsync does what does say, it will replace the defualt vsync in ever monitor. providing nvidia is smart enough to not keep it as propitiatory tech my profit if they make available to all
I got a game suitable for a g sync monitor: AssCreed4, in it's current state, using a highly OCed cpu cause it's a single core thrasher. (but with best textures evah)
