the problem with this whole driver is that xp is DX 9.0! I know some people can't afford new hardware all the time. You can get intel and amd cpu/apu's with onboard dx 11 graphics. On the other hand, win 8.1 non-pro full version is cheaper than windows 7 home premium full version by at least $100. And MS hasn't pushed the limits on OS requiirements. And everybody who complains about metro, download iobit's FREE start menu 8. It skips the metro screen and goes to desktop with a windows 7 fully capable start menu. I have been using win 8 and 8.1 from release and never, ever touched the metro apps. Even MS announced recently that win 7 retail distribution stopped oct 31,2013. So, if you do want win 7, your gonna pay high prices.

I got lower score compared to older physx driver in both newer Batmans

In Origins lost 20fps by max fps and in Arkham City lost 2-3fps by min fps.

Im reverting back to older physx.

Thanks for the profiles Cyris, did a few changes in Inspector as it set Texture Filtering - Quality to High performance and Vsync forced off in global settings.

Probably nvidia will come with a newer version from this 334.35 in some days or some weeks.

XP was a great OS - I went from Win98 to XP and from XP to Win7 (rather reluctantly) missing the junk in-between.

I find it funny people are getting hot and bothered that XP has the driver with the highest version number.

    :wanker:

It's not about a higher number. It's about concerned users wondering why Nvidia are wasting time and effort providing updates to a platform that simply does not need them anymore in the graphics department.

The release of 334.35 was unintentional. Sorry to those expecting a general release for other operating systems. The features and capabilities of R334 will be announced when it is officially released.

And how do "screw-ups" (considering you said it was unintentional) like this happen?
It also basically happened with 331.93.

Well it sounded like they are not to be expected anytime soon, thats what i gathered from MG´s post. And for those asking how unintentional drivers can be released, well even Nvidia has empoyees who seek/love attention or/and are "borrowing" office supplies!? :D

Drivers can get leaked when we seed developers, OEMs or add-in board partners in preparation of a new product or a new feature/changes to a feature. We wish it wasn't the case but it happens.
