Battlefield 4 (part 2)

After playing all the maps now I enjoy all 4 of them, the desert one is probably the least interesting but still plays out fairly well.

Guiliin peaks and altai range are my favourite so far.

 

looking forwards to them, but mostly to dlc2, when I get my AS VAL.

 

is the terrain deco bug in campaign also?
finding it difficult to figure out in my current level.

 

Is it just me or does the music in the new China rising trailer really sound like the menu music from mass effect 3?

 

Reading more and more that onehitkill bug still issnt fixed and netcode problems are still bad..

Only played the new dessert map so far and i dont like it, heavily vehicle based map..

 

Can anyone successfully join this server? I was playing it yesterday for a few hours and now I can't join.. I always get an error saying "Game disconnected: could not join server." I kept getting that same error on Sunday and then tried on Monday.. Joined and played and now today I can't join again.. Any suggestions?

Well that's a shame, the main reason I actually bought this the other day was because these issues were supposed to be fixed in todays patch.

Eh, I'm sure it's still an ok game nonetheless.

 

It's not letting me play the china rising expansion pack? I paid the extra $10 for the deluxe edition that comes with it. I installed a ~800mb patch when I loaded origin. When I launch the server it says "you need to download and install this expansion". There's an open in origin button. I click on it and nothing.. What's the deal?

 

give ea more money and they let you play it early, with fanboy premium.

Clear browser cache, see if that works.

 

I let 'system' through the firewall and now I have the browser pings listed while using chrome, not tested with explorer or firefox yet.
had a nice round there, game has potential.
@Veteran don't sell your current copy only to buy a third lol. (just incase you rage at it again)

 

I'm getting some fugly ground shadows after the patch.. Anyone else notice that?

Wow. It's all messed up. The ground keeps flashing solid colors. Looks bad

 

Didn't work? Any other suggestions?

 

i'm using the settings editor (shadows at 2048), plus the start game in ultra terrain detail then once in-game switch it back to medium.
basically after each round or in-between rounds it has to be reset to ultra then back to medium once in-game.

 

So today my game crashed and I tried to rejoin the server, only to get "Could not communicate with BF4, please close it in task manager". where there was no sign of the .exe

After googling, I find out that the process is still running in details as "suspended" and I can't end the task, because "access denied".



I've already restarted my pc 3 times, unplugged it for a minute and turned it back on, move the .exe file somewhere else and restarted my pc as others have recommended.

Dice is now in my #1 ****ty developer with game breaking bugs spot. I can't even play the game anymore because of this and might have to reinstall 25GB of the game again.
Words cannot describe how ****ing pissed off I am right now.

 

Happened to me twice, but there wasnt any bf4*.exe in Details, it was just no BF process running anymore at all. Only way i could solve this was a restart.

 

Not for nothin but reinstalling bf4 takes mins depending on your drive read/write speed.

 

wow just wow i glad im was restart pc and its fixed but set the prosses as acses denided how it wven posble?
i already not so enjoing new dlc with minecraft textures

 

Apparently it's because it's in a "crashing" state, so windows lets it hang and do it's thing until its finished.

I've just given up on BF4, glad I only wasted 25 bucks on it. even though I still feel cheated.
I'll come back in 3-4 months and see if it's worth it again.
