(_ _)Zzz My most memorable moment is was back before I had a car and got dropped off work, sometimes a few hours early. I used to sleep on top of boxes in the storage room.
Park bench, in my mate's shed at the high-school leaving party. Bit chilly, but the house was full (as in, nowhere to lie down, at all). Good night that.
face in the dirt leaning on m249 laying in mud during my 30min rest period while other m249 gunner was on watch, ground matt over me which was just a mud pit that was another night, another day sleeping with gas mask while laying on ground while snowing... sleeping in a troop truck as it was hitting crazy ass swells had head tied to frame of truck not to fall over while sleeping, sleeping on floor below a bed there wasnt enough bunks....
damn, that strikes me as all too familiar....I would have to agree, but i was in a track sleeping on my kevlar helmet which was sitting on top of my buttsock of my rifle...or in Rawaih when we had to dig these little holes and we used MRE trash as pillows...we called our little area the dust bowl because it was like powdered sugar and if you made a move it was crazy dust. Dont think ive ever wanted to brush my teeth so bad in my life. Ive slept underneath a 7 ton truck, in the middle of the desert wearing 80 lbs of combat gear in a 130 degree weather. Ive slept in a tank, track, truck, hummvve, tent, hole....you name it lol. Ive also not slept at all but thats a different topic haha. What branch/military were you in? On a scafold,15 m up in the air, while working on a building facade. It was a warm, silent place.Just grabbed some carton boxes, flatened them and get busy snoring on top of that improvised bed. My former boss was pissed of/ amazed how can one sleep on a scafold.I kept my security gear strapped on.
On some grass outside a shopping centre in edinburgh. Meant to be staying at a house but the guy got raging drunk and off the wall. Thankfully, mid summer, wasn't too cold, at least until 7am.
On the doorstep of an open off-license on a busy street in the middle of the day, completely wasted, and people just left me to wake up on my own, which was nice
When I used to work on a boat, I would sleep on top of two ice chests on the deck because the cabin was too hot.
Inside a drainpipe about six feet in diameter. Was walking home on a rainy night after a night on the beer, and couldn't be bothered walking any further. So I stepped inside it for shelter, and fell asleep.
I fell asleep in a pile of snow in january after getting piss drunk on moonshine when I was about 17 or so. I probably wouldn't be here today if a mate hadn't found me and pulled me inside. Good times!
