lol yeah its one big single/dual threaded cpu bottleneck, I oc'ed my 570gtx and still got few gpu usage drops @4.7ghz, 2-3 spots (mostly by JaneDash).

    Hi Ed
good to see you drop by
Lets see....780..4770k hmmm...Thats easy just put them both on ln2 :nerd:

    What 780 ed classy?

Well you seen my crap 3d11 cpu scores but on the 3930k and this chip both are good to above avg. in this bench.

Thats real nice Ed now go try 3d11 with that rig i wanna see that :)

On single card its sneaky to run ib/has with high clocks to help with gpu side then cpu score over 40k+ on 4/8 chip is just gravy.

Sure thing, 11 it is. I'll try in the next few.
I've had a can of ln2 sitting in the back of my car for almost a week now.

    I filled up today :)

just tested my 4930k to see if it like cold...it just love it -100np :nerd:.
Likes voltage too unlike my 3930k after -40c was out like a light and volts did not help.

messed around and used that pos anus suite II I just took a few runs is good for 5.5 @1.56ish real volts had issues with that pos gal app for the hof card so I kept the cards around stock just to put some numbers up.
I am not used to putting up gpu scores with the cpu but it feels good lol

today I have seen numbers like I never seen in this bench, like wow just getting 56K plus cpu scores was pretty cool.
    thirsty bugger though
tomorrows another day I will try harder :nerd:

Ric did you hit up my medicine draw this morning???
There is a lot of things in there you really should be careful with.

I think I posted in the right spot......and I hit the draw up too :)

I know 3d11 talk in here is o.t but forgive us :nerd:

    Look'in good Gino
As soon as I saw the 49xx roll out with 3000~4000 extra cpu points(Vantg), I knew we had a good thing. I just haven't gotten one yet. And you with all that sli fun, well it would be a crime not to go with the best x16-a-plenty and 12 threads, lol.
Sounds like a good chip too. Congrats! You deserve a decent platform for those beauties. That new RIVE looks good for system mems as well.

Lots and lots of splashing all that heat though:cry:
After I use KP's rocket to see scaleing I switch to the heavy copper slug for high end mhz. Still have my 3930 gathering dust (no sli cards).

    GL and all.

Nice, what batch is it, can you run without SS at that freq. too and what temps in normal usage?

I think my could do ~ 1.35-1.37v @ 5ghz, but i never ran so high (voltage wise) kinda scared, max so far was 1.32v @ 4.8-4.9ghz

    Hi Tj
The batch is L310B562.Take a look at the Bot if you want a rough bell curve and I do mean rough. As far as AIR goes or even water Haswell is not a good choice. I have a bench sys. set up that's part of why this chip seems good. I can install a cpu under my single stage in under 2 minutes is why I don't even go to air.

I'm going to prep this Asrock OC for ln2 today and see what I have to work with. Hopefully 6ghz+:) just leave the 780classey on air.

First Haswell and 1st 780......so far I like'm. Thanks for asking.

Oh, by the way, I don't even see temps. At these low voltages all I can see are Zeros

I really want to see how it goes ed i am on the brink of maybe haswell myself but just dont know if its worth it over 3770k and 1155

I have a heavy slug myself works well with 6/12 chips.

Its ok not 6.0 chip yet but board says cpu overvolt error anything passed 1.60v cant find a setting that i missed either maybe bios dont know which

    edit
    * duh the ln2 switch might have been the reason it was capped at 1.6v i did not move it over :wanker:

    just cpu tests today:nerd:

mixed it up today and put the titan in had only a few liters of juice left
i barely got to what jonik scored with his rive 3930k set up lol

sucked that the batteries in my multi meter were dead so i did not hook up the vr.
    1120\1800

so now i set 60k as my goal single card next time if i can get the thing to 1250 like it always does should be close.... nah maybe best if i put the card on dice so i at least go 1300+ with it???? i will do both probly :)

Sometimes Cowie I just hit the wall and have numbers too close to shout about. And have to say " I'll get another can later on in the week." I don't know how to pull a 6~7 hour session with my 20L, lol.
Know'n you, youwill get that 60 with room to spare. I love suprises
I had to replace my MB vcore VM battery tonight too!!
GL with what you have to work with.

And Tj. I just booted up that 4770k, and cycled it a few times, at 5.0ghz into W7 with nothing more than a heavy copper slug on it @ 23c.
So this chip might work out well.

I dont do 6-7 hours really its too much for me in one sitting by myself since i cant walk away from the rig to grab a smoke or something.
But my 23l dewar was good for 2-3 hours a day for last 3 days but just the chip, plus once you know temps and have all testing for temps and settings ready it saves on the ln2 later on.

Really need to get some DICE and a good CPU! A better clocking GPU wouldn't hurt either, maybe I should buy a third 7970 lol

Cowie, can you share with me, what settings of NVinspector you used to obtain higher GT2 than GT1 score single card, on PM if you prefer ;)
Here's a run of mine with 780Ti , close to 60k GPU with the right LOD should be in 61-62k region presume ...

You make me so jelly of those clocks on that Ti

No pm needed i share all info(unless it would kill your hardware to easy)just do a few settings its a done deal.
What u need to do is set in NVI sparcegrid ss to either x2 x4 or x8 then edit the lod bias in hex(x00000009 is 3ish 0x00000078 is 15)or if you have a modded NVI with its lod setting config'ed alreally it normal 0 -15 settings.
you have to play around with it for best score for your hardware thuo.
