doest he tripod style of that ARMORED VEHICLE LOCKING DEVICE works automaticky as it is in BF3?

sorry forgot its name. i unlocked it last night but not sure if it LOCKS to enemy automatically or not.

and how the DEFAULT ENGINEER ROCKET works. i mean i fire it to ENEMY APC, no lock sound u know . but it goes and with interesting animation it sticks to enemy apc and hits it.

but i tried on random enemy TANK but it didn't follow enemy tank automaticly. why? a perk? like HEAT SIGNATURE JAMMER something?

The Recon thing? In BF3 you could use it to cover an area, automatically, or aim at vehicles manually. It wouldn't track anything outside of its "visibility cone" though.

For me Windows 7 runs much better, i can now run it at ultra at 45-63fps(noAA, HBAO).

Played again last night. Still waiting for W8 to come but meanwhile a have another question.
During the game my GPU usage is always showing between 40-70%. Is it sign of that my in-game settings too low or my CPU is bottle-necking my GPU or a driver issue?
Sorry if my questions are stupid but I never had this high end card before. I love this game so much and I want it to be playable for me so I keep changing stuff in my computer. If Windows 8 does not help my next move will be MOBO and CPU.
Big think I noticed that when I try to aim down the site my FPS drops very low for a second causing big stutter for a second or two.

It doesn't lock on as such you have to aim it just like the normal rpg but when it hits the target it comes from top to do more damage.

If recon has a target marked out (orange diamond around it) and you lock on then it will follow the target.

It's normal, it was like that in BF3 as well with GPU usage, I don't think your CPU/MOBO is a bottleneck tbh. I never get 99% usage on both cards, but then again my AB OSD is not working in BF4 so I wouldn't know.

It works if you launch the game in x86 mode. Tthat is how I monitor my OSD right now until MSI Afterburner 64 bit is released.

The stuttering that your getting is with windows 7 and not unparking your cpu if you already aint done that. Also custom text file needs to be added.
I put same reply in other thread also.:)

Honestly with a newer gen cpu.. you will find that your 780 will be able to stretch it's legs a bit more..

While the i7 920 is still a pretty darn good CPU, I feel it is not really enough to get the most out of a video card such as the new higher end Kepler cards.

Although with that said, I hope Windows 8 does something for you in way of better smoother gameplay.

He only has 1 gpu so running at 3.6 should be fine with no bottleneck.

Hopefully Windows 8 will be good for him, But I still feel the 920 is not the best pairing for a GTX 780.

I just upgraded a system from a 920 to an 8 core FX specifically to play BF4... using the same video card from before.. a GTX 570.. and the difference is just amazing really in terms of smoothness of gameplay. System was using Windows 8 on old and new build... so the only difference is the CPU + Mobo and a new set of ram G.Skill Ares F3-1866C9D-8GAB
