Hd 7790 = crash, crash, allways crash! :bang:

Rollback to Catalyst 13.4 = not memory clock stuck, not crash... :(

Screw you, AMD... DX 11.2 not for my GCN mobile GPU, what a mess

These drivers don't even offer DX 11.2, nor were they ever stated to.

I'm thinking you just like to pinpoint on any random "problem" you can think of as an excuse to criticize AMD, and it's rather annoying, to say the least. Why don't you just jump ships to the other team? Maybe you're getting "rewarded" for such behavior? I just don't get it...

Of course they offer DX11.2 but just for the HD 7x and R series, there are new release notes

DirectX 11.2 - Tier 1 Tiled Resources now supported on the following products:
    ***8203;AMD Radeon R9 280X
    AMD Rad***8203;eon R9 270X
    AMD Radeon R7 250
    AMD Radeon R7 240
    AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series
    AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series
    AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series

No, I just hate being excluded just because I'm a mobile user. I have a GCN GPU and I have the RIGHT to get these benefits too from the architecture, it just makes me very angry. Nvidia has only crap laptops in that price range (GT 710m, 720m etc)

Also HD 7790 = crash, crash and more crash. So back AGAIN to 13.11 B1 for the 4th time.

I guess AMD wants to kill my SSD with all the installing and deinstalling the last weeks.

Ah, my bad then; those notes were added later it seems. In any case, on my Desktop 7850, dxdiag still only reports 11.1 as the max feature level; although I guess there's more to 11.2 than just that.

Question is, how would one even test for such a feature?

You can test it with DXDIAG, it will show you the features on DX11. My 8550g APU has DX11.0 and my 8750m DX11.1.

    @TheMac yes, Win 8.1

Hmm, then either the notes are lying, there was a newer 9.2 driver released with the same version number to add 11.2 tiling, or dxdiag only shows features with full implementation, and 11.2 tiling isn't full.

    i dont think <7xxx supports full 11.2

    m7xxx is actually 6xxx desktop tech (pre-CGN).

Tiled resource Direct3D sample, perhaps it could be used to check if the feature is working. :)
(Lots of interesting things with the 8.1 Windows SDK.)

EDIT: Oh and yeah according to those notes currently only tier 1 is supported, not tier 2 of tiled resources.

EDIT: Or maybe this would be better?

EDIT: Oh you have to compile it yourself, then what I linked to won't be very useful.

Huh, that's very strange :3eyes: But thanks for the screenshot.
