Try www.tigerdirect.com - they are one of the biggest (and best) etailers in the USA and they do sometimes ship internationally. The only catch is that you have to do it over the phone.

    http://www.tigerdirect.com/sectors/help/international.asp

Check them out, it may be worth it, even with the shipping and import fees.

The steam survey shows that the percentage is miniscule, that doesn't mean there aren't a lot of people using them. At least amongst the enthusiast community. It's all about perspective, the average joe on steam plays a handful of free games and uses it as a social hub. So of course they generally wont care about such things. Amongst the hardware and more hardcore gaming community it becomes a lot more common.

Now you're just being thick headed. Look at the compromises made in the quality of the visuals on the consoles before banging away at the keyboard.

Let alone that the guy seems to have no understanding of how consoles work. There is such a thing as proprietary tech. Getting the most out of a console is a hell of a lot easier than with a PC.

That's why I recommend looking at the figures for Steam Survey, which is all about gamers' rigs'.

Regardless of yours or mine opinions, high-end specced machines and monitors are simply either beyond what a young gamer can afford or what older gamers will be able to obtain beyond what their partner will let them :)

On the one hand, you got a new baby room and eternal happiness/peace with your beloved, on the other hand you got a gaming rig.

I know which hand weighs more.

Anyone else loving this new cutthroat GPU competition between the two companies? The real winners here are us, the consumers, as evidenced by these lower price:performance wars. This happening right before the holidays is going to make me really happy come Christmas (as I can justify dropping a wad of cash on this hardware now).

I usually abide by this as well but this will be the first time that i haven't waited. Got my two 7970 December and march. Sold one kept the one i like. And am about to jump on either 780s or 290s by the end of the year.

im with you on that, my 6970's lasted me well( 3 years ago i got the first and a year later the second ), not with you obviously on upgrading with cards a year old, whatever card i get now has to last at least 2 years.

Who cares about the young gamer? The people with money are anything but teenagers. You'll find them here. They have good jobs and money to burn.

My point was very simple. Another member also made that same point. The average gamer on Steam has nothing like the rigs we have here. Our rigs on Guru3D are common here.

The only GK110 300-A1 780 that qualifies as the GTX 780 GHz now is Zotac's AMP! Edition GTX 780 which I'm getting soon either next week or the week after.

If IF I would get it, then only normal 780TI 3gb.

imo 6-12gb is overkill, I can play ok with 1.28gb atm, tnx to texture str3aming. :)

Apparently it can oc to 1200mhz+ without a problem, not bad.. But in 3dmark firestrike its only 6% faster vs 290x. Idk raw gpu power still lacks a bit and to be 150$ more vs 290X is kinda questionable.

AMD codes their drivers to work over 3DMark so I don't put any stock in those scores alone.
