What I did is: 1) I run from this folder path DX9 Switcher BETA 9.7\Switcher\Uninstall the 3 batch files (startA through C).
I don't have a ccc installed and I am waiting for further instructions for the correct installation steps.
Into the device manager I can see 2 ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4870 (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.1). The one is shown like this: This device cannot start. (Code 10){Operation Failed}The requested operation was unsuccessful.
    Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your patience dellon.
To get this straight what I did so far is follow your guide so:
    1) I run the aSimple CleanUP Utility located in the Dx9 Switcher Folder (before I wasn't patience and I hit close before finished because it was saying file missing or something. But now I let it finish by itself.)
2)I run aSimple Driver Cleaner located in the Dx9 Switcher Folder and then hit R to restart.
    3) Now the computer is restarted and display adapters got the ms driver. Now your saying install the driver, that means to install the ccc (setup.exe)? Or go into Packages\Drivers\Display\W86A_INF and run an msi?
Sorry but I am not familiar with those things. So far I was just updating from AMD's webpage the ccc and everything was fine but with the win8.1 they don't have an update for my cards.
Anyway thanks again for your great work

Ok I did all the steps and everything seems nice now. I still don't see though, a crossfire tab or a box to enable it through the ccc. Shall I run the iCrossfireX Gpu Switcher ?
    Thanks

No, that's for enabling Single GPU Graphical effects when Using Crossfire. Crossfire is enabled by default.

I will send you another build as an attempt to resolve that issue.

UPDATE FOR ALL SUPPORTED OS 10/20/2013
This Update intends to make the following changes.

    Installation Guide:
    -Download and Extract the Driver
-Use both Cleaners in the Dx9 Switcher or (DDU, Display Driver Uninstaller)
-After uninstalling the driver, run AMD Setup
and Install the Driver as you would normally.
    -INSTALLATION COMPLETE

    Notes:
    Intended For UPD BUILD
-Added Support for a number of Graphic Cards that
lost support after X amount of builds.
-Optimize the Driver Cleaner for the UPD Build.
    -Further Customize Driver ID's (ATI=AMD)
-Attempts to allow Users experiencing problem with the Full installaer
to upgrade through the 12.11 UPD Build. (Still being Tested)
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Resolved an OpenCL bug causing applications to crash.
(Adobe Premiere CC and Other programs using OpenCL)
-Optimize Package Cleaner (Files being held by Windows)
-Optimize Driver Cleaner (Files being held by Windows)
-Crossfire should now be working (Beware of the Multi-Gpu Clock Bug)
    -Fixes Flickering for Some Users
-Optimize Dx9 Performance Switchers as attempt resolve a bug
in which it breaks the driver installation for Previous Legacy Graphic
    Cards.
-Updated the driver as attempt to improve the installation and hopefully
get rid of Bsod's when using the driver.
-Added a New Perf Switcher to further assist Users in achieving more Fps
or less lag when playing Games.
-Re-Optimize the Gpu restarter to apply the correct Dxva Settings.
-The Driver Cleaner is now capable of Cleaning and rebuilding PnPlockdown
(Still incomplete but it should still work as intended.)

    Note:
-Users can use the iAMD Version Changer to change there Catalyst version
from 12.11 to AMD Catalyst 13.11.
-Switchable Graphics Users should provide a detail feedback stating how the latest driver functions on their setup.

    Pending Changes
-Adding a Low Powered Switcher for Mobility HD 4000 Users and Below.
-Adding a Switcher Capable of allowing Users to revert to a Previously
Working\Stable Build. (For HD 2000 Series - HD 4000 Series)
-Implementing an Upgradeable Build. What it does is it basically allow Users to Update there current driver to Latest 12.11 Modded driver.

    Installation Guide For UPD Build
-Download and Extract the UPD Build
-Run aSimple CleanUP Utility located in the Dx9 Switcher Folder
-Run aSimple Driver Cleaner located in the Dx9 Switcher Folder
-Next, Install the Driver by Running AMD Setup
-After Installation is Complete Restart your System or
Run the GPU Restarter to load the driver into the System.

Note: The UPD build requires the user to already have an AMD
Driver installed and it should work with any driver. Therefore Users who choose to upgrade from a Stable Build should upgrade through the UPD build as it should allow your Graphic Card to function as it did before.

Also, Crossfire Users experiencing a missing Crossfire Menu with the Latest 12.11 Non UPD build should run the Cleaners is the Non UPD build then update there driver to the WDDM Driver or any AMD Driver before proceeding to installing the UPD Build.

A and B are for new games while C and D are for older games. However despite the categorizing C and D may have better performance for Newer games. So I recommend Testing all to figure out which works best for your Graphic Card.

All Perf Switchers can be Used at the same time but for different applications. So yes you can install all of them but will need to Switch BTW the Switchers.

I have tried the UPD Build but still no crossfire option.
Steps I followed are run both cleaners from the Non UPD, then WDDM driver was installed but it self after the restart. Finally I run the setup of the UPD.
    Thanks anyway

You miss a step in which you were suppose to follow the installation Guide for the UPD Build. But it should not matter.....Mostly Cleaning related.

    Other Thoughts
Can you check the Display Adapters in Device Manager and tell me if both your GPU's are active and working?

    Also...
Here is the Last build containing stable Crossfire Support of HD 4000 Users and below.

win 8.1 hd 3850 drivers installation

Hey there just like to say a thank you for your time in making drivers for our old ati cards for win 8.1. I managed to get the drivers installed on my system im running hd 3850 crossfire, how ever every time i boot up i have to select 7 to make sure i Disable Driver Enforcement Signature. If i don't do that win 8.1 just boots up with no drivers installed, how do i boot up with it disabled permanently? I am sure you are swamped with questions and requests.

Thanks again for all the effort :)
